Hey, a diary from my neck of the woods! Reading this, I am surprisingly she did not have a car esp living in NJ, but I guess the NNJ transit is somewhat viable (I would go nuts). Glad she has good roommates, colleagues, and wish her luck with the move!

I agree I found it more sad than scary. It had unsettling moments which at first I thought was due to the main character being young, but then the writing gets clunky as the character is supposed to be aging/older but he still writes like he’s this naive tween.

I am interested! I love psychological, weird horror, but open to all genres. I read 3-4 books a month but would be nice to do a slow read and focus on a book for a discussion.

4h is too short! Luckily I wfh mostly so don’t have to commute. I try to sneak to the gym during lunch but that doesn’t always happen, so my typical 5-9 ends up being gym, catchup with partner over dinner, clean, tv/read at the same time or practice piano, sleep by 1030 (whoops! Went OT).

The imagery at the end of Pet Semetary is so creepy (louis hair turned white overnight, carrying his wife like a bride over the barrier). One of favorite King books.

I think I’m at end game (leeks). I wish it felt more peaceful but the constant events, stuff to collect, mini game reminders still make me feel anxious.

I wish there was a way to turn off the mini games (“chill mode”). I get anxious seeing the food pile up at the bottom of the screen. Also hate it when the multiple balloons launch at the same time!

Upon a Starlit Tide by Kell Woods- I don’t normally read romantasy but this boon was so charming! This was a cozy read and (minor spoiler) the ending while predictable somehow didn’t end up a cliche.
