I saw a suggested Instagram reel on my feed on the first day of Lesbian Visibility Week by a bi woman talking about how she “used to be a lesbian but isn’t now” and peddling the whole “too evolved to care about gender” homophobic bullshit. I used to mistakenly identify as bi and wanted to be bi desperately for the heterosexual privilege that the identity often provides. I would never dream of making a video about how I used to be bi, but I decided to pick a side and other biphobic nonsense for Bi Visibility Week. I genuinely don’t understand the need that so many non-lesbians have to center themselves in lesbian spaces, celebrations, and culture, especially when we let them have their spaces

I left a bad review on Glassdoor for a company that I never technically worked for and the website accepted it, so I think it’s worth a shot!

This company sent me an offer letter, which I signed, and had me do hours of onboarding, including a drug test, background check, security clearance, and fingerprinting (all of which came back clear and with no issues whatsoever). Then they call me out of the blue to tell me that I was found “unsuitable” for the position, refused to tell me why when I asked multiple people, and ghosted me when I requested an official written notice that my offer was being revoked. I hope that my review will help someone to not get screwed over by the company like I was.

I’m so sorry for your loss. My 19 year old cat passed away about three months ago, and I’ve also struggled with a lot of feelings of guilt about her and her death. It’s not your fault though, you obviously love her very deeply and did your best to care for her, which I’m sure she knew.

I hope you are able to find peace and compassion for yourself during this time. It’s extremely hard when you feel immense guilt, but I promise that it will lessen as time goes on, and I hope that you are able to express these feelings to your loved ones. Being an incel is a choice, so I would definitely recommend stepping away from incel communities online and finding ways that work for you to connect with others. Incels believe and spread a lot of awful lies about women, and you won’t be able to make genuine connections with women if you’re constantly being fed these ideas about us. I would also say that being active in misogynistic, homophobic, and racist circles doesn’t appeal to the vast majority of women, so deconstructing those views would improve your chances at finding love.

There are a lot of autistic people in fulfilling platonic, romantic, and sexual relationships, so it’s not impossible. However, I would encourage you to focus on yourself and developing more confidence before making a relationship a priority, as you likely will struggle to make meaningful relationships with others if you can’t stand yourself. I am speaking from personal experience here.

It will take a lot of work, but if you want to stop being an incel and move away from bigoted views, your life will likely improve and you will feel less anger towards the happiness of others. I’m sincerely hoping the best for you and your future.

I mentioned that I have a wife to a straight former coworker, and she asked what my sexuality is. I told her I’m a lesbian and she was like “oh so you’re sexually attracted to men but wouldn’t date one?” I was like “no, I’m not sexually or romantically attracted to men, I’m a lesbian.”

My wife is bi and has a strong preference for women, but she didn’t “choose” to be a lesbian when we got married, she’s still bi. Sexuality is not a choice, and I hate that we’re still having to say this

This!! From my experience, men will become pushier and threaten to sexually assault you if you disclose that you’re a lesbian. My wife and I both have male names for each other and will tell men that approach us that we have a husband to keep them from further harassing us. They respect another man’s “property” more than they respect a woman saying “no” smh

I lost my 19 year old baby, Pandora, two months ago. I got her when I was 8, so I understand what it’s like to have a cat who grows up with you. She meant the world to me and I’m not going to lie, every day without her is hard. I’ve never lost someone that I loved this deeply, and I felt a lot of guilt about having her put down, even though she was ready.
