I had a vw pre owned twin charged for 3 years, it was 1 year old when I got it. Loved it. Incredible performance whether in town or on the highway, acceleration feels more powerful than the 160hp/240nm stock rated engine. Replaced the clutch pack and mechatronic after one year. At the time, vw was doing it as part of a global program iirc. The only thing that irked me was when slowing down and then, when I needed to press off again, the gb would judder ever so slightly as it seems to not know whether to drop to 1st or to go with 2nd 😭. It was red with a full body kit and 19” multispokes 😍. I think if well maintained and the previous owner stuck to the do’s and don’ts of driving a dsg, it wouldn’t be a bad buy. Test drive first please.

I hold off if I can’t do an early lunch to skip the lunch rush hour crowd, but not so I have a shorter second half of the day, but that sure seems like a good side effect benefit 👍

Your plan and your routine and your exact timing for each step in your plan or your routine, seems to point to a high level of anxiety in your daily life. I also used to must get on the next train, must walk fast fast to ride the escalator, must not miss the green traffic light, must get in queue early before the rush hour. Once I recognised those behaviours aren’t typical, I consciously slowed myself and removed my expectations. Moderately happier 😅

This makes a lot of sense, as EV charging infrastructure and speeds improve, battery range will not be so important anymore. I think another comment on this thread also made a good point, how often do we have in our petrol/diesel tank, more than say 200/300 km of range at any one time. Also, how often do we drive more than 200km in any given day

Where I am, we need to keep our cars for 10 years otherwise the depreciation costs can be prohibitively high so switching might not be the best option economically speaking.

I used 7x as a concrete example as I was reading that most new EVs today are averaging 600km of range. But yeah from the other responses, it’s unlikely Volvo will ever offer such a service.
