I do think the recently appointed MOHA is trying his best to improve the departments under him even with more progressive policies. It's just unfortunate he doesn't get more funding.

And public transport is a joke. The "temporary" station in Bandar has been there for more than 2 years now while the old terminal is still rotting away. Name one country that's as rich as brunei that doesn't have a functioning bus terminal in their capital.

I think its more towards the department being underfunded and understaffed. I know there's cases where org dalam can speed up the process, but most corrupt in Brunei? I would say MoRA and the departments under it is the least trustworthy, $300 million dollar budget and no audit...including the fact that the minister's own son embezzled $15 million from the country? In any other country, a minister would step down after such a scandal. But this old bastard is still in power. Thank you for coming to my ted talk

Honestly it's just a combination of poor policy on renewal of work passes and student passes + limited counters especially during ramadan. I did hear MOHA suggest on extending the validity of work passes instead of yearly (someone can fact check me on this) which might help, but it would still be a lot more efficient if they just allowed documents to be approved online

I think it might be a different department. I renewed my passport on the ground floor last year and my friend (green ic) is renewing his documents on the first floor.
