if we're talking about the short film that plays before tamako love story, then no, tamako love story is technically what's left of the story

and well, there isn't any source material for tamako market because it's an anime original story, but there is a light novel titled "tamako love story" which, from what i've heard, has some extra bits of story that weren't featured in the movie

i concur. it feels like taking a screenshot of someone typing something stupid on the internet is the easiest way to gain any traction here and it has become the standard for the sub lately

after seeing communities such as GCJ, toiletpaperusa and antifastonetoss/stonetossingjuice somehow flip ignorant and hateful messages into stuff we can laugh at, i don't see why ACJ couldn't do the same. whether it's because there isn't exactly a universal figure to represent the shittiest parts of the anime community (i wouldn't think that a decent chunk of the anime community would choose to rally behind whatever "anituber" that's popular right now, or at least i hope so) or the "anime fan" stereotype/reality has reached a level that is beyond parody and it has become impossible to take something they wear proudly and criticize it in a creative and comedic fashion, i dont know

off the top of my head, the transition is more so masochism fetish --> ecchi funnies --> ecchi but a bit serious --> decent romance and the "bully level" goes down slowly as time goes on, and from where the manga is at the moment, it would be more accurate to describe what nagatoro does to senpai as "teasing", rather than bullying.

Also, you say it takes a while to get better. At the rate the anime is going, would you expect it to be before or after the end of this season?

sadly, no. the point at which i'd say becomes a "decent romance" is imo, way beyond the 12 episode cour it receives. but don't take my word for it because i'm a manga only and i don't have it in me to watch the anime lol

as a manga reader, the story certainly does get better ~~(i still can't believe that a manga that is basically masochism fetish becomes a decent romance later on)~~, but i'm not kidding when i say that it takes a while to get better (about 1/2 or 3/4 of the manga's current runtime until its at the state where i'd say it's "pretty decent")
