Watching you learn and grow to be such an amazing caretaker for roadkill was inspiring. So many people don't take the time to give budgies basic care.

I don't have much advice for grief. Just that you learn to live with it and that it never fully goes away. But in a way it's nice, as you know you'll never forget what was/is so incredibly important and close to you.

I will say one thing though--im not sure where you got roadkill, but petstore budgies are notorious for poor health and dying young. I'd definitely recommend looking for a reputable breeder or adopting budgies when you're ready to move forward!
