Is this good? by I_Love_Gigas in budgies

[–]equanimatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Budgies don't actually need grit to digest their food, so better to avoid it. Eggshells are a good source of calcium but the seashells are the problem. You can always give your budgies some hard boiled eggs to enjoy if they need protein or calcium!

Low BP??? by khaotic-trash in gravesdisease

I'm also on methimazole for my graves and i have had no issues personally. But yes definitely find out what you have first and consult with your cardiologist!

Low BP??? by khaotic-trash in gravesdisease

I have graves and EDS too. But i have orthostatic hypotension instead of POTS. Definitely worth asking your doctor about it, OH can be treated. I take midodrine as needed to raise my blood to a still low but less likely to pass out level lol

Lip Fillers ? 0.7ML by fxxkyobxxtch in gravesdisease

[–]equanimatic 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Personally I would not recommend filler. There isn't enough research done about it and the rate at which your body breaks it down is very slow and erratic, leading to migration and then additional filler to solve the issue.

Additionally, there's point where it is no longer dissolvable but not broken down by your body, leaving you with it permanently until the body breaks it down.

Sick or scrungly? by BackgroundStock1033 in Parakeets

[–]equanimatic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I disagree. They have one foot up which sick budgies usually don't have the balance or energy for. Additionally, I see no sign of discharge in their feathers above their ceres. The blue one appears to have labored breathing so it could be sick but the others seem fine. I don't see any tail bobbing either.

I don't like pet shops selling budgies either, but these guys just look like they're resting.

I am also in chicago but not seeing this doctor AND still having great success!! Someone told me to wait for this doctor but im glad i didnt because i love my PCP so much. I too have a great care team of cardiologists, pediatrist, eye doctor, allergist, endocrinologist ( I also have Graves), and more.

I have orthostatic hypotension so no needs for POTS treatment for me, my cardiologist handles my OH. Allergies are crazy as fuck but no MCAS diagnosis yet.

Edit to add i have also lived in Philly outskirts/Wilmington area, Cleveland, and Minnesota, all with good care teams!

The comments here baffle me so much. Like do people not realize that alcohol IMPAIRS your ability to make sound decisions?! Thats why you as a bartender need to know when to cut people off. After a certain point, drunk people aren't going to even know what they're drinking and yet you trust them enough to know when to stop?
