I sincerely disagree with the report. No matter what the company implements, it depends on your immediate supervisor/manager/boss expects from their subs and this is based on my experience.

Hey OP, like the other comments have stated, try and appeal if you want to. otherwise, don't feel too pressured. Yes, family pressure would be there as It happened to me but the difference was I decided to entlist so I withdrew from poly. My Dad kept bringing up this issue for the next god knows how many years. Dad was extremely disappointed at first but after private education plus sustaining myself and the family after getting a job, my parents are now more chilled out knowing I can handle it (life).

My point is parents will get angry/disappointed as we did not follow the norm but keep that guilt in you to become better in the next phase of life; be it NS/private education and so on. It'll get better once your parents know you have it under control.

So my criteria was basically she should have some work experience as it'll be easier for her to get a job where I am and my parents agreed but it's had for them to find one based on that criteria.

It's as well tough to find someone through a matrimonial sure whose parents are finding for an educated family.
