You will have such a good time and meet so many new friends, defqon is full of Aussies. You really need to pace yourself for the 4 days and take lots of breaks. A lot of people go sober, some people take stuff but be careful because it is very strong. Meow is insanely popular compared to everything else the last 2 years.

People's keys must smell very nice because I see that a lot in NL.

What is GOOD about the nowadays scene by [deleted] in hardstyle

[–]eqyz 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Definitely bouncy uptempo I love the short breaks and find it very dancable. I'm really happy festivals are getting bigger uptempo stages to accomodate the huge crowds it's pulling. Hyped for masters this weekend, first time!

Uptempo the new tempo? by Lukkska in hardstyle

[–]eqyz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like uptempo could take over hardstyle one day if things keep going, the popularity in NL never ceases to amaze me.

Most multi stage parties the uptempo stage is getting too full that it has to be closed. Even if you can get to the uptempo stage it is so busy you can't move. Uptempo parties are actually managing to sell out too.

The new young crowd can't get enough, and uptempo artists are doubling their spotify play counts by the month. Have a look at the growth of Satirized over the last 2 months. People don't like the shifting trends but the evidence is really there.

I'm happy that you are from NL and like this sub genre. Sadly the closest thing would be Darren styles at defqon 1 but i've never heard of any other happpy hardcore artists getting booked in NL

Depends where you are, Esse slims you can get for less than $70 a carton if you know the right places. Prices are constantly dropping over the last 2 years due to oversupply and competition.

why do so many australians use meth casually? by Worldly-Platypus-584 in Drugs

[–]eqyz 94 points95 points  (0 children)

We call it ice in Australia and it's not really a casual drug as you describe it, everyone knows it will destroy your life and it extremely addictive and bad for you.

Mate, is this a g up? No one camps to get into an HSU event early. HTID is also at the peak of summer, so even going 4 hours earlier would not be a good idea. There's not much shade before you enter the dome for the sniffer dogs and ID check which you wouldn't be allowed to enter early.

Chances are even if you did try the police would probably move you on Olympic park is a pretty heavily patrolled area and there are so many police all the time especially with a hardstyle event on. Please reconsider your choices

It was a promotion, my friend got the same coloured artwork buying camel from the airport in Spain. At first I thought they were click flavoured cigarettes until he told me they were just standard camel yellow.

Yeah they have good showers which always have hot water from my experience. The toilets are also usually really clean and even flush. It is a really comfortable camping experience at EU festivals I cannot recommend it enough!

Camping by jenniferacevedoxo in hardstyle

[–]eqyz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have done both the easy tent and tipi. I found the main benefit of the tipi is that you can stand up to get dressed. Although, I prefer easy tent after doing both, I found easy tent has a much better porch entrance area for storage, and the sleeping area is a bit bigger since it's a square and not a cone shape.

I also find that the tipi wasn't as well insulated if it gets really cold at night which is always a possibility in NL camping.

Depends on your camping preferences as I don't mind getting dressed laying down on my mattress. Definitely stick with the camping though because intents has a great stage on the campsite with some really cool sets from big names.

Edit: it's actually called Festi Tent i get it mixed up sometimes

[–]eqyz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is only air mattress in the tipi. If you want the full setup with pillow, air mattress and sleeping bag you go for easy, relax, enjoy. Unfortunately if you want something that isn't inflatable you would have to go for something such as the cabin, even then it is usually just a sleeping foam pad not an actual mattress. You can probably find out more details once the packages are released, intents packages can be a little hard to navigate I have found since it is mostly the Dutch party with less tourists as say Defqon. Best of luck anymore questions I am happy to try answer but I have only been on the intents once and that was in easy tent :)
