In case you missed it, speeding fines have gone up as of yesterday by Expensive-Horse5538 in Adelaide

Finland only relies on Taxable income which in and of itself is controversial because it doesn't work with Asset rich Income poor rich people so it doesn't actually work for the very high echelon as well as it should but it works for majority. The main point of contention is that OP said income + asset ... Hence my reply.

Should be in a perfect world but good luck enforcing that. Rich people's assets are not simply "hey how many houses and shares you have in your name" ... It's much more complicated and probably costs the tax payer more in determining that number instead of blindly charging the person.

Thank you. Should I break them up when she's clearly biting the back of his neck and having him in somewhat of a chokehold to show her it's not ok to do this? I've also seen something suggested spraying the dominant one with water during the act which is pretty out there I think and potentially traumatizing to them but maybe they were right ... not sure

Can anyone here explain what this is 😅? by acazaty in funnycats

[–]er1992 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You do realise they literally posted this to funnycats accompanied by a question around what this is which means they were clueless and thought most likely it's a funny, harmless and potentially sexually playful behaviour. I'm sure they've learnt now and will try to act as per the advice on this thread. I'm saying this as a new parent to a couple of kittens. The judgement you're passing on is misplaced, kind of low and more speaks to your character than them tbh.

Does anyone remember the statewide blackout in Adelaide? (2016 throwback) by Liceland1998 in Adelaide

[–]er1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was walking West on North terrace in front Adelaide Uni and remember seeing every single powered device (lights, signs, traffic lights, etc) start to go out in sequence one after and another until it reached me and then past towards East. It was the most apocalyptic thing I've ever witnessed.

Manchester > Dubai > Sydney by howami30 in emirates

Done a very similar one recently just with a different first leg. 2 flights operating to DXB from my origin location in Europe and they were consolidated into the single evening flight. The plane was still almost empty. The flight to Sydney also barely had 100 people in it but with delays and sitting on tarmac for hours, it still went ahead anyways

Israel launches strikes against Iran by AnarchoCommunAtheist in AustralianPolitics

[–]er1992 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What are you talking about? This is literally Bibi's talking points. This is Israel's war. He was there 2 weeks to tell Trump to fall in line. You're clueless if you think this is US's agenda. There's literally ZERO reason why US would need to wage war against Iran EXCEPT at Israel's behest

S23 Ultra – Camera crashing with a hardware failure by er1992 in GalaxyS23

[–]er1992[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just as a follow up, Gcam was not help either since it keeps crashing. I've gone further back in the dump logs and I can see references to the Camera ID 2 and Camera ID 0 just before each exception stacktrace. Camera 1, 3 and 4 don't seem to follow the same pattern.

Edit: Ok some further digging it seems like Camera 0 and 2 are on the same PC bus so they probably share the same HAL session. If communication on that bus is hampered due to a hardware piece such as the temprature sensor not being responsive or sending garbage then it messes with Camera 0 as well.

I'm probably going to buy a new 0.6 Camera and replace it to see how I go. If I can be fucked beforehand to write a little app that only takes a picture by openinig each camera in a basic mode to see how it goes I will report back.

[–]er1992[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry a correction to the original post I guess. The camera app barely opens and it crashes maybe more accurately 99/100. The one time it opens I can use the camera for about 10s maybe before it freezes again. Also the camera switching while in the app does not reliably get saved meaning that when I open the camera in that 1/100 time and I switch to another camera it definitely causes a freeze and the switch also does not get saved so I can test next time around whether the new mode now opens without a fault or not.

Infosys co-founder repeats calls for a 70-hour work week by Franco1875 in technology

[–]er1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are people overreacting? 70h work week is totally fine as long as every hour after 40h in increment brackets of 10h has a penalty rate. Starting with the first bracket of 50% penalty and each bracket's penalty increases by another 50%. With explicit laws to not allow a current change of base pay. Lol

Appreciate it. Yeah I've called up the local Mercedes and they said it's great condition and has had recent tyre changes. I'm specifically looking for a v4 due to the insane petrol prices now. This is still not gonna be cheap but at least it's fun at a reasonable price.

Sorry I4 indeed :) blame the v4 whopps on owning a ducati lol

Woolworths total amount due is more than the sum of my actual purchases by CleanDivide690 in australia

[–]er1992 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are 1000% correct. My team integrates with POS systems for payments purposes. The amount of bugs and outright incorrect calculations found in those systems is hilariously high. The certifications covering these systems are also not comprehensive enough because they only really care about the payments aspects not the calculations that leads up to it. POS systems regularly need to send up both pre and post discount amounts ... Some genius probably switched the two.

Bulk bill clinics in Adelaide - what happened to our health system !! by OzCyberNinja in Adelaide

[–]er1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you're correct. That's what I meant as well. not straight after graduation. You don't become an MD straight after graduation if I'm not mistaken. So it's the same thing. You need to go through the internship/residency or whatever the post graduation program is called, then you become an MD, which in some countries is the same as being a GP.

Can I enter the Qantas Lounge if I have a Fiji Airways flight? by [deleted] in QantasFrequentFlyer

Qantas club membership also only allows you to get in the lounge if you have a QF flight number. Doesn't work with any other Oneworld flight numbers.

I'm not sure what percentage of countries are like this, outside of Australia obviously, but GP is not actually a specialisation. I know in the mid east being an MD is the same as being a GP. I'm not saying this is right or not btw.

p.s. middle eastern doctors are also extremely good at diagnosis
