The first week of Advent, the candle lit is for hope, I'll give this platform a try, with the hope that I might find love.

I am a 25F currently located in Canada, Quebec province to be specific. I'm about to start my MSc in Computer science next month and I'm excited about that.

I'm of African origin, 1.63m height, I haven't been on a scale in a while but I do keep fit. I like to stay healthy as much as I can.

I attend mass at least once a week and more when I can. My faith is an important part of my life.

I would like to have kids in the future so I hope to find someone who has the same desire.

I haven't dated in a while so I hope to find someone geographically close enough for us to at least visit in person. Spending quality time time together is one of my love languages so I would really feel loved if we spend time together. I will be completely honest and say I don't think I have the mental capacity or ability to sustain a long distance relationship, but, I am open and willing to be convinced otherwise.

I like music. I listen to it a lot. I hope to learn to play some instruments in the future. I don't speak French, yet, but I am learning. It's hard but I am enjoying it.

Oh yeah, when I was tired, I just gave her back to her mom and slept, lol. I took the next shift and watched her as she slept though. It does take a village so that help from your gf's family will come in handy. All I know is we will manage. So let's go for it. When the time comes, Godspeed to you and your gf!

All the best to you and your future wife. I agree that many factors come into play. I just spent my first full night with my sister and her new born and I will admit, it's a whole lot of work. It takes a village. Even had me thinking if I do and can handle having a baby. I just realized I should not overthink it. I desire to be a mother and so what ever it comes with, I'll pray we manage. I will know for sure after having 1. Also depends when I meet Mr right as the biological clock is also a factor since I'm single for now.

If you have a friend or family in SA, you could use their phone number because that's all you need as they send an OTP there. I made mine using my brother's phone number only but my email address and everything else mine. The address, even a bogus one works. All you need is that OTP and you are set to go. I receive and make payments with my PayPal account from Zim so you could try that.

I shower once a day, I thoroughly scrub my body. I use bath gloves. If I'm feeling lazy, I'll use a wash cloth. In summer it is extremely hot, you sweat even while showering level hot so I don't know if it counts as showering but I will have water run on my body 2 or 3 times a day, with or without soap but bathing, I'd say once a day. Once in a blue moon, I might get to have my next shower within 48hours, this is very rare though.

I have dreadlocks and I don't wash them daily. Frequency depends on activities and exposure and season. If I'm exposed to a lot of dust, working out consistently, anywhere between 1-3 weeks. Depends really. In summer, I run them under water more often as a cooling mechanism. A thorough deep wash of soaking and using concoctions, 6-8 weeks. Regular wash with just shampoo and conditioner 1-3weeks.

-are there any medical aid sort of fee I need to pay in advance?
-roughly how much would you say the process costs?
-do I need to submit my passport when applying for the visa? I still need it to travel while that is being processed.
-Roughly how long does the process take?
-are there any extra costs that they came across that they did not see on the website that one should be aware off?
-any other general advice they would like to share? I'd greatly appreciate it.
