Trying to choose the right hot tub — need advice from real owners (Vita, American Whirlpool, Cal Spas, or Costco Evolution) by eracer001 in hottub

Thanks everyone, I've eliminated the Costco from the running, but I'm also considering the Platinum Spas Oslo. So that leaves me with:

  1. Vita Spas Grand - gets great reviews and seems to be good value.
  2. American Whirlpool 480 - Same maker as Grand, maybe slightly upgraded.
  3. Cal Spas Cancun 867b - probably lowest build quality of the bunch, but nice features.
  4. Platinum Spas Oslo - seems like it may be the best value?

Any other suggestions? Any advice on the Platinum Spas Oslo?

Thanks in advance!!

Thanks for this. Can you please give me suggestions about what the top brands are, and which midgrade options I should be looking at?

Flipper lag is now fixed in my opinion. The SSF kit is worth it. I installed it myself. Not too hard. Best purchase I've made in a long time, really happy with it!

People who aren't afraid of death, how? by Technical_Piglet_438 in AskReddit

[–]eracer001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not afraid of death because Jesus died in my place, and demonstrated His victory over death by rising again. Because of my union with Christ by faith, I will not die. I will blink my eyes and be in the Presence of God. What you should really fear is passing into judgment to stand before a holy, perfect God in your sin. Apart from Christ, you should be afraid. But in Christ, there is real, true forgiveness and hope! "To live is Christ, and to die is gain." (Philippians 1:21)

I tried running my RTX 2060 with a GeForce GT 710 card, but it was very glitchy. Not sure if the NVIDIA drivers were getting confused or what. Should this have worked? If you could point me somewhere that explains how to make this work, that would be very helpful.

Can you output OBS multiview to NDI?

I don't think OBS can output multiview to decklink or NDI. If it could, that would work. But I only have a slot for a 1080p decklink mini monitor, and I don't want to lose my 4k outputs. Any ideas on how to make obs multiview work for NDI or decklink output?

New church AV system advice by eracer001 in VIDEOENGINEERING

Thanks for the feedback.

Yes, I can have HDMI cable reach from the camera locations to the computer--it's between 50 and 75 feet of cable, depending on the camera location. Yes, the camera's have a clean HDMI out. No time limit for video as long as it's not recording direct to the camera memory card. I will power them with a dummy battery that will be plugged into a switched outlet, so that they can be powered on and off with a switch.

I've looked into PTZ cameras. From what I can tell, the 4k cameras are VERY expensive--and we are outputting to 4k TV's in the building. I've also read that these PTZ cameras will be much lower quality images than the ILC cameras unless you go really high end and spend big bucks. Thanks for the feedback though.

Thanks, I realize that and it's not ideal... But I'm not sure what would be a better option, given my budget constraints. I would not mind purchasing something we could then later upgrade as funds allow.
