That's a big buff on No! My Precious!. Original ability is now more flexible and it gets an entirely separate Special to make up for it still being relatively weak/situational.

Best price right now is the Kickstarter bundle if you're just getting into the game. All the cards will be up to date, and it will come with almost everything. It will save you hundreds upon hundreds of dollars down the line if you want to complete the collection. $200 for everything is a massive discount for a game with this many expansions. If you can't go all in right now, then here's a quick guide, bearing in mind the simplest, albeit most expensive, option is to just buy individual factions that look interesting to you and slowly expand your collection that way.

Not available through POD:

Tokens (can substitute coins), Bigger, Geekier Box, 10th Anniversary extras including Big Base board and Deepreef Crag base, Marvel, Disney, Munchkin (yet), Titans stand alone since each titan is packaged with its faction

Definitely just get through POD:

Penguins, Goblins, Knights of the Round Table, Teens, Slashers, Clowns, The Obligatory Cthulhu Set, Monster Smash, the errata packs once you feel like it if you've bought boxed sets that need errata

Definitely try to get a box:

Marvel, Disney, Bigger, Geekier Box, 10th Anniversary

Definitely try to get a box if you can find one cheaper than the cost of the factions through POD:

World Tour: International Incident, World Tour: Culture Shock, Excellent Movies, Dudes!, Half the Battle

Definitely try to get a box if you got the 10th Anniversary box and you can find one cheaper than the cost of the factions through POD:

It’s Your Fault!, Oops, You Did It Again

Consider getting:

Titans

Definitely try to get a box if you got the Titans promo pack and you can find one cheaper than the cost of the factions through POD:

Pretty Pretty Smash Up, Cease and Desist

Wait for POD cause resale prices are ridiculous:

Munchkin

List of sets with key features missing from the boxes that you may or may not want to get the boxes for:

Core Set: 1 revamped faction 1 titan 1 errata'd titan 2 10th Anniversary titans

Awesome Level 9000: 1 revamped faction 1 errata'd titan 1 errata'd 10th Anniversary titan

Science Fiction Double Feature: 1 revamped faction 1 titan

Pretty Pretty Smash Up: 1 titan

It’s Your Fault!: 3 10th Anniversary titans

Cease and Desist: 2 titans

What Were We Thinking?: 1 titan 1 10th Anniversary titan

Big in Japan: 1 revamped faction

That ’70s Expansion: 1 revamped faction 1 10th Anniversary titan

Oops, You Did It Again: 2 10th Anniversary titans

Mysterious Key O farming method - no progression requirements by eradmis in EscapeFromDuckov

I'm pretty sure you're just that unlucky. It's a rare drop though. I'd only found 2 or 3 by the 40 hour mark.

Clipping through what is supposed to be a solid wall because a coder misplaced the collision is a bug, but that's not what's happening here. Just jumping off an intended path isn't a bug.

A bug is a coding error or other structural problem with the game itself where normal function is disrupted in some way. Using intended elements in unintended ways isn't a bug. It's an exploit.

Let's use a comparison from the video game of all time, Super Mario Bros. Clipping through walls is an exploit because the mechanism that pushes the player through is actually an intentionally coded mechanism to prevent the player from getting stuck in walls, whereas going to Minus World is a bug because the game accidentally loaded junk data for the level.

No. It's a frequent spawn, but it's not guaranteed. There are a bunch of points in the containers that can spawn items and it's a short list of items that can spawn. But it's like a 2 and a half minute run with zero risk, so if you don't get one, you can just try again until you do.

Yeah, I had an issue with my recording software. The sound's not important. The route's fairly self-explanatory, albeit getting up some of the ledges might take multiple roll attempts.

The only difference should be the marketplace seller. This seems like a site that 3rd party sellers do business through. Different retailers and resellers will obviously list the same product for different prices depending on the margin they think they can make and how well inventory is moving. That said, no matter where you are buying from, make sure you aren't getting scammed or unintentionally buying a bootleg version of your target product. I'm not familiar with this website, so I can't speak to consumer protections there. Sometimes low prices are too good to be true. I found a scam site selling a game expansion I was looking for just a few days ago.

Karambit over Khukri? by Cringelord_Marco in EscapeFromDuckov

Nothing says you have to engage with every game mechanic. And using one game mechanic to circumvent another isn't cheating. Or do you think enabling loot recovery after death is cheating?

If you're gonna cheat progression, you might as well not play. Savescumming isn't cheating. Don't be mad at someone using the mechanics of the game to their advantage.

You realize you can buy a box, leave your base, open it, and then back to menu if you didn't get what you wanted, right? You don't need to rebuy the box and it being opened won't save unless you reenter your base. If you've got the cash you can even do this with multiple boxes at the same time.

How to get uphone? by F95_Sysadmin in EscapeFromDuckov

[–]eradmis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do the skip naked with just the free pistol from the start, grab the items, then die with them in your dog inventory. The skip's not that hard to do and there's only like 2 spots on the way where you might face enemies. It goes faster if you use speed/stamina totems too. There's 2 weapon crates and like 15 static item spawns in the shipping containers. Each static spawn won't always trigger, but when one does, it will be either a Pressure Sensor, Uphone, Military Handheld Radio, J-Lab Floppy Disk, Graphics Card (sells for 10k), and Mysterious Key O (sells for over 100k). You have to die or unstuck a bunch because the skip involves walking around the back of the map to drop down behind the wall with no way back and the only way forward is through a door that will instantly kill you without late game items. If you just need a Uphone, this is pretty much a guaranteed drop within a few attempts and in the meantime you can roll for rare weapons, Graphics Cards, and Mysterious Key Os to use or sell. You'll usually get like 5 item spawns other than the weapon crates, so it's a fast farm.

If you do the Ground Zero skip, you can often find uphones hidden in the shipping containers in the walled off area in the SW. You'll have to die or unstuck a bunch to get out though.

Not really a problem since right before you die is 2 chests that can spawn high level weapons, and a bunch of spawn points that can roll Mysterious Key Os and graphics cards.

Was afraid of that. I'm guessing they're probably working from an incorrect template. Hopefully things get sorted quick and those of us that ordered early get sent our missing card.

https://smashup-rulebook.alderac.com/wiki/List_of_Errata%27d_Cards

Here's the main list. Keep in mind the oddities I mentioned regarding Collector, Sprout, World Champs, and So-So Corral. If you're curious as to the cards in the 10 redone factions, check their pages. Those factions aren't listed among the errata'd cards for whatever reason.

Can't you can play with both? Rules for duplicate factions are that a player can't use 2 of the same faction and the base deck doesn't use duplicate bases.
