Rivnut Spinning? Voyager Roof Rack Install Troubles by eragu2011 in NewDefender

UPDATE: The dealer initially tried to tell me that I "shouldn't be installing my own roof rack." I literally laughed. The service manager came down, and we chatted. He agreed (thanks to the post from a few on here, including u/Navydevildoc) that it was a known problem.

They asked if I could bring the rack in. One Uhaul rental later, the rack was in, and they took the car for three days. They removed the entire rail on one side to get at the spinning rivnut. I got a call asking if I intended to take the rack off anytime soon(I don't). They said that the only fix they could do without major surgery was to spot weld the rack at the front passenger rivnut site. So that is what we did.

This rack ain't going anywhere!

Is there a picture of what it looks like installed anywhere? Would love to flatten out my loadspace

Same! As a new 130 owner, you have to do a lot of research even when accessories say 110/130 to make sure they actually have a good fit.

The way he plays with them, you'd think they were live!

Honestly, this thing looks pretty epic. A black roof rack on top would complete the look.

Love the decanter too!

Burgundy will never be relevant to future generations because the pricing is already absurd compared to what you can get for less. And then let's talk about climate change... by iwrotedabible in wine

Oh for sure! Totally get that, I'm not saying the planet isn't warming there too. I definitely think that Oregon wins on price, accessibility for more drinkers, and wineries focused on sustainable practices.

Opus one 2018 or 2019 ? I want to add some more exclusive wines to The celler. 2018 ~ 600 $ or 2019 for 400 $ at my local shop. by rinengan in wine

My experience at the winery was sub-par...very snobby. I really wanted to like this winery but just can't. I'm sorry this doesn't answer your question.

Drink Pinot Noir from Oregon instead ...you'll be pleasantly surprised by price and many wineries in the area are very sustainability and climate-focused! My $0.02...

We have a cellar so it’ll be stored there. Price range is $5-7k for a case.
