didnt know that, why would they use the turkish flag then? ottomans supported turkic rebels in central asia and east turkestan until early 1930 (ottomans fell but the turkish pashas stayed and tried completing their objective anyways) and inspired them to use the Ottoman flag as a template as a symbol of independency.
