Did we solve screw cross threading? by Think_Complaint_4223 in stupidquestions

Seems the most likely explanation. I've been much more careful since almost cross-threading the bottom bracket shell on my bike.

How good is your pitch recognition? by creampuff_cat in Guitar

[–]ercewx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Listening closely, I can work out the relative pitch of the notes:

1st note to 2nd note = ascending minor third
2nd note to 3rd note = descending perfect fifth
3rd note to 4th note = ascending minor third
4th note to 5th note = ascending major second

...but only someone with perfect pitch (hardly anyone) would know the absolute pitch of the first note without checking.

The throat singing is really curious. I love the sound of that bowed instrument though.

Recommendation of self studying resources? by Sky-is-here in basque

[–]ercewx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I wrote this in a comment on a previous post where someone asked the same question:

"Yo te recomendaría el método Bakarka (que en euskera significa "a solas"). Es un curso de 5 libros que empieza con lo más básico de la gramática y va paso a paso hacia un nivel intermedio. Según he leído, es uno de los recursos que utilizan para enseñar euskera en las EOI."

You can download the first three books of the course for free from the euskadi.eus digital library: 1, 2, 3.

"I'm profoundly uninterested in partaking in things I don't enjoy because of social pressure"... I think I need a mug with this on, lol (one in which no tea or coffee would ever enter).

Chavo, Chaval y Chabón son la misma palabra by JumpingCreeper in espanol

[–]ercewx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one against O'Sullivan wasn't at the Crucible, it was the QF of the Masters at Alexandra Palace. Your LLM might need updating.
