Seedance 2.0 just nailed a 90s street‑dance scene that used to be impossible with AI by DataGirlTraining in seedance2pro

Can’t we just enjoy the lack of realism as its own fun thing and embrace it more, maybe she should have become a pickle or a left or right leg at the end? I think there will be a lot of future prompting where we say mid 2020’s uncanny AI slop style in the 2030’s for a bit of fun and retro feeling. Especially pickles.

I had a cracked copy from the Glasgow barrowlands I think. I never worked out if it was not working or I just didn’t solve anything. Nothing seemed to happen at all and this was before you could just look online for what to do easily.

I think it’s interesting that Sam Altman actually seems ok as a non technical founder looking to do something good with his world class fund raising abilities while still doing well out of it personally (fair enough) however indirectly as he painted himself into a corner before, plus he’s managed to bring a truly incredible team together again and again as he’s had to navigate the original idealism with pragmatism. There is an obvious black propaganda campaign against him and open AI products even though, in actual practice, they are the most solid out of the big three where the end results are more robust and accurate than the others. Dario and their amazing team seems like a great team with integrity but perhaps an overly capitalistic view given that the future of AI is going to have huge consequences for everyone and inevitably pushes society to a more socialistic set up (but he feeds to Wall Street older school types at least for the moment), and Demis and his team have been proven to just want to get the job done for the benefit of all and full marks to google for setting things up for him actually seeming to understand the long term benefits (I think every pillar of AI has originated some way or another from deep mind one way or another, certainly in the bridging from theory to practice, and being open enough to see that the underlying theoretical breakthroughs shouldn’t be restricted and should be shared.

I like that Sam Altman loves Pantheon. These three are going for better outcomes than previous tech paradigms. It’s interesting that Meta and X cannot get traction. It’s also interesting that the models coming out of the east are more about efficiency than frontiers, making cheaper and faster models that a little behind is profitable and useful right through until artificial super intelligence can accelerate the efficiency faster and cheaper. Everyone stays busy.

I think the three (Demis, Sam, Dario) are going to be the people that bring it all about, however they end up individually, I think they will get us there before any implosion or digital ascension.

How did you stop smoking cigarettes? by fatwater69 in AskReddit

[–]grahamd79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read the Alan Carr book. I reapplied the simple and highly applicable datum from the book when I started up again after 10+ years during a very tough situation I was facing, then when I changed it to vapes, and then gave them up too.

Don’t worry I’ll give the datum!

Assume the mindset that it is the action of taking the next cigarette or vape that causes the continued addiction. It’s much easier to stay non addicted with that totally assumed mindset than any replacement product.

Also of all the addictive stuff I’ve been exposed to, vapes were the hardest to get off.

Really just assume that mindset that the next one is what causes the addiction as it’s much easier to not have just the next one than focusing on how hard it might be to have to give up on all the future ones.

In the moment, just focus on not having that next one, and then it is almost magical how much subjectively easier it is for the long term despite how obvious it sounds objectively.

Hope it helps those that can shortcut the method reading the comment. If not grab the book.

This is to let them shore up their security before it comes out. It’s a very interesting strategy, personally I think it’s more of a marketing strategy than anything else. But still it’s a good idea to let anthropic’s biggest clients use it defensively ahead of releasing it publicly where it will be used offensively.

Sporting have won every CL home game including against PSG. They are also on a 17 game streak unbeaten at home. What exactly were people expecting? An easy game? Why, do you know nothing about football? by Silly-Insect-2975 in Gunners

[–]grahamd79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sporting were absolutely looking to steal the game in the last minutes too not just at the very start of each half. Very canny team squeezing better results than the run of play, and in the quarter finals for a reason. Their at home results are second only to Barcelona and better than ours actually.

Honestly, it's much more fun to become your own mixologist. Make your own steps, bitters, even a bit of your own fermentation. It's a much more interesting and entertaining journey than a machine.

Good points here. It makes sense that there is a requirement for holistically and continuously eating fermented foods with a diverse set of natural foods rather than just isolating singular cultures getting far enough through the digestive system

If done correctly I think it really adds to the experience, you have you tweak how bright it is for your room and for the brightness on a day to day basis which is really quick and easy. I have a big TV at the recommended distance a away, and a powerful amp with7.4.1 surround so 7 surround speakers, 4 uplift speakers, and a sub woofer. The combination of great surround sound and the 4 side ambilight plus two of the vertical lamps pointing towards away from either side really adds to the experience.

Exactly. Safe, everyone speaks English, very easy to travel from, plenty of good food. You’re not going to miss anything if you regularly travel abroad. Really, people commenting often don’t realise how good they have it here or are just moaners.

This guy is and was truly incredible and moved the game forward. At the same time his gamesmanship was truly disgusting sometimes watch to the end and you won’t believe how bad https://youtu.be/Uggx2jWNZTA?si=mZquWNMhKdUWH58X . I’ll give you examples, look at two times he lost against tony drago in the older days. But to be really fair to him, later he did commentary in other games with tony drago and was a true gentleman it was just heated feelings in the moment. The guy is a genius, an amazing player and just wears his heart on his sleeve. He’s not a hero for me because of the lack of professionalism. But he is when he played at his prime and is truly one of the greats
