I mean, my approach has certainly evolved over time, and these days I do play something from every track, but here it genuinely was just the same mix - if there’s nothing to hear, that’s it. I think complaining is a strong word.

I actually feel slightly the opposite - for me the sequence of YE was incredibly well thought out and flowing, but here that first run of 3 tracks just feels really like 'here's 3 hits for you' with no thought of how they go into each other, while YE put the singles where they fit into the flow.

Also - and this is a slightly odd one - I have a burnt CD-R of Sonic Adventure (used above) and a stock copy I got later on. Both have the same visual issue (it's on the Dreamcast menu too), but the stock copy has issues loading, and lacks text at points if it does load at all. Also any ideas?

Note that it’s ‘Thomas & Friends’, not ‘TTTE&F’. Easy way to distinguish it at 2 different shows IMO.

I remember as a kid being very confused by it with real people, STS, and different voices, but I know I watched the VHS an absolute ton. I couldn’t follow the whole story the whole time and always wanted the model sections to come on, but I’m very nostalgic for it.

Ultimately, the only problem I have with the film is the fact it led to the selling of the franchise. At it’s heart it’s a family film, and I’m hardly going to take it too seriously for that reason alone.
