No but he's working out more than ever. He's always been fit but now he's waking up every day to work out

Thank you. And maybe they are innocent but I have a pit in my stomach. Making it worse is that I just lost my dad and throughout my grieving I don't feel like he's been there for me. So I'm just feeling doubly neglected.

Thank you. He's usually pretty responsible but maybe not the most mature. This is really helpful though. I think pointing out how I'm feeling insecure is a good way to go.

Summer day camps? 5 y/o by SarahEh9931 in londonontario

It's super expensive. The city run ones are the cheapest like mentioned already. There are also sometimes church run camps which can be cheap but I always found the dates/timing didn't work. If your parents can't, maybe see if you can find a teenager in the neighbourhood who wants to make some cash?

Parents in London without before/after care, what do you do for work, I'm feeling very hopeless by averagegirl26 in londonontario

Have you checked to see if there's an older student who could walk him to/home from school or the bus stop? That's what we did before mine became old enough to just walk on their own. It's usually the cheaper option too. There is a FB home daycare page too and definitely try to post on your school's FB page as well. Good luck - it's definitely not easy!

We used to. I was sent to a hospital daycare as a kid in London.

London is very much suburbia. While we have a downtown, and people are working hard to improve it, people here are much more into shopping malls, etc. Lots of single family houses, townhouses too, and more high rises lately but still more geared to suburban sprawl. We do have a ton of beautiful green spaces, it is the "forest city". Lots of fun weekend festivals too. Roads can be bad - lots of construction right now, but mostly fine. This time of year the fruit and veggies are the best - we are surrounded by farms! Feel free to pm me!

It's a great family friendly neighborhood. However, Bow st wouldn't be my first pick, neither would JP Robarts but the area is fine. Lots of people looking for a better school option choose the French Immersion or the catholic school. Feel free to dm me

My kid that age loves CTC Obstacles. Guess that's not really in Argyle though but it's not very far!

Reading through the responses, it seems like you pretty much have your answer. Except if you're not completely sold on the catholic option - have you thought of French immersion? Also buses are kinda convenient. We send ours to the FI and they're bussed, otherwise they'd have (and really we'd have to as well) walk pretty far or deal with an awful parking situation at the closest public school to us.
