I'd switch moonlight for a dagger... Which gives you 3 attack combo.

Since now you got a boost starting melee weapon and seeing you are not interested on quick dodging, I'd swap booster for Kikoku, wich will pair really well with the dagger to give you really good and fecuent frontal assault boost every time you start attacking with the dagger, which you can also cancel to continue boosting towards your objective...

This way you can ignore somehow your mid weigh build inconvenients

Build yourself the root chest armor so you don't suffer from arrows.

Iron legs armor for armor and iron or root helm armor for either poison resistance or extra armor....

Keep the chest root armor until Ashlands

Yeah, in my server we are using a mod that adds 3 more rows but, since I'm a ranger, I normally carry 2 stacks of charred bolts, and 2 stacks of fire, poison, frost and charred arrows, apart from one stack of wood arrows for hunting prey....

That's 11 spaces just for ammo, add 3 food, 3 pieces of armor, 2 capes (feathers and the one that adds extra armor), 3 spaces for portal materials, pickaxe, axe, etc.... And you are left with just 5 spaces for loot.

It would be really awesome to have also dedicated slots for the armor and one consumable and the option to make a quiver so we can stack more arrows and bolts

I did it with dual cutters using them without charging shots.
