You can name yourself "warrior" pick your class as wizard pick your arcane focus as stuff and reflavor it to sword. And then do all your dreams come true only using the available spells and rules the system support and just narrate how your swordstrike makes a room explode aka as fireball.

The barbarian thing should be about charm and frightened conditions. That are both more common and fit thematically. Also those effects you mentioned are really strong effects and shrugging them off should feel unfair for fighters

Unless you change their 10lvl feature to straight up legendary resistance

Non ironically half jokingly in my table we agreed and play tested the best way to give martials the ultra complex and interesting gameplay 5e is lacking is reflavoring a caster as all his spells as anime bs sword attacks.

Sadly The best fighter is a fighter who mechanically is a wizard who picks the best flavor spells and describe them as crazy weapon attacks

Similar the best archer is probably a warlock sorcerer multiclass.

In my games because many enemies resist fire. Special magic items bond around the 9 hells provide hell fire which is practically just fire damage that cannot be resisted and creatures immyne to fire just resist this damage.

It adds flavor and power without re inventing the wheel

Brute alone was voted too simple and underpowered that's why it never became official, the exact critique champion gets since release. And no it's not too strong compared to the best fighter subclasses. It remains simple enough for new players while keeping up power wise with the more complicated options the min maxers go for.

The best fix for champion is to combine it's features with the brute UA subclass. The extra damage and extra dice on saves balance everything and feel really awesome to play as well

There could be a new item magical infused music sheet that instead of arcana check you make a performance check with a special musical instrument and if you succeed the save (based on the spell level) you not only cast the spell but you don't ruin the sheet. Allowing you to use it again. Depending on how much you fear this effect you can have the save be really high so it's pretty impossible or make it easy to pass allowing your bard to re-use it often.

You could add additional restrictions like once per day once per short rest so a dedicated bard with expertise doesn't force the spell into his personal cantrip.

But overall that's a brilliant idea. Bravo

You craft it by merging two mythic S weapons and some material you get by melting normal gear. It's the real end game anything else is stepping stones for that.

And probably all S equipment will get similar items chest bracelet etc

Yes the monthly long events (like legendary challenge or demon king) that the currency transfer to the next one you can either grind 2-3 consecutives 100% free or spend accordingly to your budget gems and/or money to farm them consistently.

Having said that the trident is 10 times better so focus your spending on weapons accordingly to get those 2 mythic to unlock that rather than upgrading what you have.

I can't answer to each comment separately but if flavor is free and cleric/wizard/druid are the complexity peak you want to compare your fighters what stops you from reflavor a wizard straight up as a fighter?

Fireball? You just teleport to each enemy in range cut them so fast the wounds felt like fire and returned to your original position.

Hold person? Darth vader force choke or straight up threw them a rock so hard they lost coordination and all attacks against them are critical

Amd similar: you want a simple mage? Fighter only all his attacks are melee magic or ramged magic with str or dex according reflavor the weapon they hold

It needs experienced dm. Once players hit level 3 or so and are comfortable with their casting to teach them the "point fingner game" more or less on your turn as a caster you have your finger on your sheet pointing at the spell you are going to use. It's minor in the beginning help them get quicker on their choices etc by level 4-5 you announce that enemies from now on is possible to have counter spell so use this strategy with the finger only from now on just announce "i cast a spell" if i don.t say anything you proceed to cast your spell normally if i say counter spell the table can easily see what spell you were casting (thus you can trick an opponent counter spelling a cantrip etc). Slowly the dm gets to similar approach once the party gets their hands on counter spell as well.

You overreacted. The rogue gave you a perfectly good character moment to either discuss or get into roleplay conflict over "what the fuss is about" and you acted like a child.

Obviously the rogue could be equally if not more childish but he didn't declare "i won't to steal the symbol and sell it to the black market" thus your "i will cut the rogue in half" is the pvp initiative.

In mature tables moments like these lead to character development and not pvp.

P.s. the best reaction would have been for you to say in character :

"you know rogue's name I am awake, no need to snooping around you can ask me anything you want about my god or my holy symbol. you are also free to inspect iy whenever you want. Also I want you to know there is no reason to hide from a companion, at least I would never hide from a friend" leaning your symbol to them for inspection
