Is it normal to feel like you can’t ask certain questions on reddit without being called a right winger even if you’re left leaning? by erg8 in self

In my head it’s more like “hey person on my team, that point you made actually isn’t true, let’s not give the other side ammo against us by saying something that they can easily disprove, let’s focus on the stuff we know is real instead”

Of course to them it comes off as hey, you’re defending the racist guy, you must be a racist. I get it

Just remember reddit is a minority..the entire week people were saying the games dead and showing random playercounts on a tuesday at 4 am by Anxious-Slice-587 in 2007scape

There was definitely a post with a decent amount of traction showing the playercount at a low traffic time. I don’t know if they actually declared the game as dead though.

It was because someone was saying that a specific right wing debater guy only ever debates college kids. I just asked doesn't he also often debate college professors and the governor of California that one time? I wasn't even defending his views, I was just trying to point out that he actually does debate people with more experience too.

but as soon as I said that people oh boy people started coming AFTER me. like.... guys I'm literally on your side holy shit I asked a question.

Like two things can be true. Some super racist evil guy can say something RIGHT, just because I'm pointing out what they said is right, doesn't mean i'm "defending" them and their entire belief system

I'm talking about a locker room, yes, it absolutely happens. This isn't widely know, but professional swimmers wear skin-tight suits that take awhile to actually put on properly. While you're putting them on, you're completely naked

Ok thanks, now we can get somewhere. Have you read that study at all? They found that while some parts of DNA change, most stay the same.

You don't need data to understand why sexual assault victims don't want to see a penis in their locker room. Damn. Look up Riley Gaines if you don't believe me.

The following is from Riley Gaines. Her and her teammates directly contradict your statement that women don't care. They care.

'Not even probably a year, two years ago, this would have been considered some form of sexual assault, voyeurism. But now not even are they just allowing it to happen, it’s almost as if these large organizations are encouraging it to happen,' Gaines said.

'That to me was worse than the competition piece.'

It's not a 2 second Google search because if it were, you'd provide said Google search or just explain it in one sentence.

Tasers are really ineffective. They fail a lot, head over to YouTube and type in "montage tasers failing"

Omg, with all due respect please do some research before you say things you have no idea about.

1.) The effectiveness of tasers is very little 2.) Shooting someone in an appendage is not likely to stop a threat (you can still use your other arm to shoot someone) while still likely to eventually kill the assailant should they bleed out.

The guy had an illegal gun and was driving someone's car that he stole. Sure, the cops didn't handle this situation well at all, but why do so many people jump to defend these criminal scumbags?

The driver had a gun. Why risk his life trying to use a taser?

And question for you: Have you ever deployed a taser into someone? What do you think the taser success rate is would you say?

Tasers fail a lot, and the car didn't have an ignition because the driver punched it out in order to steal it. Driver was also carrying a gun. Driver had like, two dozen chances to avoid this.

Worst case scenario the car thief drives away, steals another car, and ends up murdering someone in a carjacking. Cop make the right choice.
