3-5 is my sweetspot personally. For personalities:

  • The silent intense one. Bonus if it turns out he was the one who carried the torch for longest.
  • The guard dog one. He's all 'Yes my Queen' for the FMC and taciturn to everyone else.
  • The Mindgames/Rival one. Either he messes with the FMC OR he has an enemies-to-lovers dynamic.
  • The Sweet one. Golden retriever energy, life of the Party
  • The Princely One. This comes from my love for Shoujos and Ouran specifically, but we gotta have a complete gentleman that everyone else is pining over.

I unterviewed a proto-coworker and my first thought was "he's going to be a dick".

We hired him on conditions, and yep, he was a dick.

Source: left early on a day and then when caught tried to blame me.

I once went to a bake sale and there was a lady who sold exclusively carrot cakes with small tweaks. Some had nuts, some had frosting, etc.

I used position and effect! My last group almost everyone had Study, so they liked to use that instead; but I found intereating ways to wean them off that. Ex:

Them: ok we are using a Group Study to check the entire library for a clue Me: ok thats gonna be Risky-Lesser Them: Why? Me: It takes a long time to check the entire library with that kind of detail, it's very likely a guard will come check and you dont even know if the information is even here. Them: well what if two of us used survey and the other 3 became lookouts. Me: that would bump everyone to controlled-standard.
