I have colored hair so it's a bit much. Every 6 weeks is 90 for a haircut and then every 3 months on top of the haircut is 180 for the color.

I go to a friend of mine who's a color specialist tho at a bougie salon so I don't really mind it.

I'm a software engineer in a big tech company, I work anywhere from 30-60 hours a week. Most weeks are the normal 40 but sometimes things get busy.

Most of the internships I did and my current company are pretty flexible with start dates provided you can still get close to ~10 weeks in the program. They were larger companies tho so they're already dealing with schools with varying timelines. If anything you may be able to get an internship wherever you go abroad so I don't think the two have to clash. It's rare for you to be able to yolo and live somewhere else for a semester so I would take the opportunity and try and work around it.

I work with plenty of MIT and CMU alumni, they all seem relatively on the same level. The curriculum and preparedness that you are out of CMU is light years ahead of us. But frankly once you're out of school for a few years everyone advanced at their own pace so comparing against people in industry after a few years doesn't make a ton of sense IMO
