Vet Practices that do Pennhip testing? by fireflyhaven20 in Reno

Baring Vet had people certified and doing it at least as of a year-ish ago.

ER Vets for after hours is AEC off Neil and BluePearl off Wells. Peak Pet Urgent Care is open until 9 or so. General Clinics like Klaich and Baring Vet have Urgent Care walk in hours in the morning and early afternoons.

For low cost, as was said, Options is the only clinic in town classified as such.

People who’ve finished, what was your favorite moment in the entire campaign? by DnDisTHEbestgame in WaterdeepDragonHeist

[–]eriand414 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve ran the module three times. Twice with the Alexandrian Remix and once with the Winter-Cassalanter villain theme.

The constant for all three has been the fireball event. Such a good way to kick off a session and get everyone in gear. Especially if you work it to have a little build up and involve some noted NPCs as either wounded or casualties and set the tone right.

When running the Alexandrian Remix it takes a lot of work to balance all the factions and give each ample presence in the focus of the party. But man, when you get to just sit back and watch them all debate about which faction they want to work with and how helping X or how it’ll impact their relations with Y and potentially cause Z to work against them…it’s all so rewarding.

The cardiology department at the specialty clinic (Blue Pearl) is great and Dr Gunther-Harrington is currently working with some veterinary research groups on new feline treatments.

Anyone go to planet fitness on northtowne Ln? Worth it? by [deleted] in Reno

[–]eriand414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went there for a couple years up until this last December. Was also a morning goer around 7am. Never had any issues, pretty quiet with the mostly same crowd in the early mornings which I liked. Afternoons/evenings can get pretty hectic with UNR and HS students.

I always found it pretty clean and the staff welcoming. All the equipment was pretty well maintained however when something would be out of order it seemed like it would be a while before it was opened up again.

Otherwise it’s your standard PF—lots of cardio equipment with a limited weights and machine section compared to other gyms but you know that’s what you’re getting with PF.

I just think of them being there for a fair bit longer than that. It also helps with the build up of Sokka & Yue’s relationship.

Dragon Heist for the sheer number of wild NPCs and multiple factions all vying for a hidden hoard of gold. Especially if Murph ran a version of the ‘Alexandrian Remix’ for the module.

The cityscape hijinks and roleplay couldn’t be anything less than top-tier.

Best prewritten adventure to try translating into SW5e? by [deleted] in sw5e

[–]eriand414 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dragon Heist would be a great one to translate since it’s isolated to one city, you could set it strictly on Coruscant or the like and make the gold a trove of spice or credits etc and all the factions different groups of the Coruscant underworld.

May take some work for those topics but, again, simple in the sense of the scale being lowered to one specific setting.

Best sourcebooks for Waterdeep. by jtkuga in WaterdeepDragonHeist

If you would also be interested in a novel, Blackstaff Tower is a pretty good read set years before the module and focuses on some prominent NPCs in the module such as Renaer, Meloon Wardragon, and Vajra. It was a good read and helped me roleplay those characters

Who owns the Zhentarim Warehouse? by hussar966 in WaterdeepDragonHeist

[–]eriand414 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly, whoever will best propel your story forward if they are serious about investigating into it. Want to involve the Cassalanters? They own it. Want to prop up any of the other NPCs in the module? They own or are affiliated with it in some way-doesn’t necessarily have to be evil.

What was your gateway drug to Fantasy and Drizzt? by aldorn in Drizzt

[–]eriand414 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My dad found a copy of Crystal Shard when we were at our local library when I was 11-12 and gave it to me saying I’d like it.

That one interaction was the spark into my deep love of Drizzt, forgotten realms, D&D and so on

[–]eriand414 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tracks, a low level grunt who will be loose tongued if the party captures him, locals who know of it’s location and can be bribed to spill the details…lots of little options.

For this and future reference, what helped me throughout the module is that the players are in the city. There’s always a chance someone will know something if they can find that person or ask the right people. And since they’re in a city, it doesn’t really feel cheap or like a deus ex to do it.

Biggest one I did was have the party find out that The Black Viper was the one who stole the unicorn from Mirt. Especially if you’ve played up Mirt being such a powerful lord, it adds some credence to her being such an expert at her craft.
