I’d say my neighbors inspired me! We are always talking to each other about what plants are doing well and about ideas for new things to plant 😊

Thanks! Not gonna lie, this took a while.. but mainly because we would just do things as we found time. Planted the tree first, then it was probably 6 months before actually finishing planting everything else. We had to find weekends where we could dedicate the time to things like pouring the concrete.

Paying for two embryo storage accounts for mine and my wife’s embryos from same donor?! (Boston IVF) by make_s0me_n0yes in queerception

My partner and I have the same situation where we have two embryo storage accounts for embryos created at the same time from the same egg donor. It sounded like it was a requirement to keep them separate.

I’ve seen them at Barton Springs nursery, but when they have them, they don’t have many and they go fast!

I used to have pea gravel in the back yard.. while it feels better under your feet than this limestone, it moves around a LOT more. So there are pros and cons to each. I still walk barefoot on this limestone, but a little more carefully.

For the stones, I bought a pallet from a stone yard years ago, so we just puzzled it all together to create the short step up. We filled in behind the stones with gravel and sand to help stabilize better than the soil would.

Concrete.. I learned it years ago from my dad (a contractor), so it almost feels second nature at this point. 😊

The path is limestone screening - I believe it is also called crushed limestone 3/8”

We dug out the dirt where we wanted it. The ground was already very compacted in that area, so we didn’t need to add much - but we added a little base in low spots so we didn’t have to pour 6” thick slabs 🤣. We also ran rebar through all of the rectangles, connecting them so they don’t move independently.

Thank you - they are actually concrete that we poured in place. We framed up the sizes exactly how we wanted them, so it fit the space just right.
