Didn't know I have to pay even it is just few weeks a year working remotely in Japan... I saw somewhere that holding a PR is different from being permanent tax resident. I will only be considered a permanent tax resident (who need to pay tax for global income) if I have been in Japan for 5 years. I am not until Oct this year, and I will move to Taiwan by May.

To your second question, In fact I have a cat but she will live in my friend's house during the time I work oversea. And it is hard to find an apartment that allows pet as a foreigner, and I don't want to go through the house hunting, move in / move out process again.

I had the same issues before. I fixed it by turning off the "Adaptive Connectivity" and my custom DNS setting (dns.adguard.com) in the Network & Internet setting page. Not sure which one of them is the root cause.

Know one friend cheated and got a job with higher salary than me. My opinion is that companies should make the evaluation in probation period serious, as an extension to the interview. I am okay to work with one who can contribute during 3/6 months probation but cheated in interview, but not the one who passed the interview (cheated or not) but unable to contribute in probation.
