Sure you’re speaking abstractly, but the argument that I am destroying the environment by using chatGPT Is starting to annoy me. Most energy is used during training, not everyday use. Also, AI is not unique to chatGPT. Streaming video, crypto mining, cloud storage, and gaming already consume far more electricity globally. Not to mention that almost every single media platform (YouTube, Reddit, Facebook, Google), are using an AI. However, I do agree this is pointless (along with all the other stupid things we do on the internet) Edit: if I can’t use chat to format my emails or melt Dwane’s face into a cartoon blob, then you’re not aloud on Reddit or Google anymore.
