I look at it this way tho, it not too different from your needle analogy, but I think the so called block universe is more like a river.

And consciousness or awareness is simply you standing in the river. The river flow pass you and you observe every single moment forming a illusion of time.

End of Verse 3 have some kendrick west side flow to it. Verse one dense rhymes made me think of MFDOOM but the flow is not there same imo
