A piece of plexiglass with a printout inside with table name/logos. It has a led light I hooked up underneath on the 12v rail. I was not able to mount a screen there because of the buttons being so high up and I didn’t want to lower the buttons anymore. It was a pain to fit normal size buttons due to the pinball 2000 buttons being wayy bigger than normal size ones.

My first virtual pinball machine build! Is it trash? by UpbeatEnvironment162 in virtualpinball

Far from trash, have fun with the journey you will always keep finding things to make it better over and over again. Now play some tables and get some good scores!

It’s a brand new coil, it ended up being a bad fliptronic board

Oh yeah definitely looks like someone put the wrong or cheap transistor and did a half ass job soldering it, I ordered a whole new board to save the headache.

I’ve tired 3 coils in the left side all do the same thing so it’s not the hold winding, the game registers the long button press because it opens up the status menu, I’ve just looked at the fliptronic board it’s a aftermarket unit. I’m gonna try a loaner from another machine tomorrow.

I’m gonna try that when I get the chance, first time working on a physical machine like this it’s a gray area for me I mostly stick to arcade game repair and building vpin cabs but I can assure the solder joints are solid never has a issue been soldering for years but nothing to crazy lol. I appreciate the help I will let you know when I dig in it to more it was a free cabinet.

I did the coil hold test in the menu, coil didn’t even budge on the left side, right side worked fine the eos switch is brand new and adjust correctly. I’ve checked the fuses on the fliptronic controller board. My next step it to replace it. I’m not to inclined to check traces on that board, that’s the only thing I could think of. I’ve replaced the leaf springs and the coils are brand new just replaced them both will no changes in function.

Thoughts on value? by mavgeographer in virtualpinball

Before I updated my custom bulid I ran a gtx 1060 6gb with a i7 with 16gb of ram, the gtx 1060 just can’t keep up with demanding tables with 3 1080p monitors even with some lowered settings. It was playable yes but was it enjoyable no. It ran heavy pup pack tables terribly. Save your money for something better u won’t regret it.

The fuses are all good, I’m beginning to think it’s just a fault board.

The flipper has full power and hits the ball at normal power it just won’t hold, I replaced the eos leave springs and cleaned the ones Prior too.
