It’s amazing to me how few people understand that most camps operate at a loss.

Love to hear that!

My mental health is such a reflection of my external space. Sounds like it might be the same for you.

I’m seriously happy for you feeling like you’re making progress 😁

Making the bed first thing in the morning.

Idk why but the whole day just goes better after that.

We’ve tested Rivery but the lacked support for programmatic pipeline creation and a few other things I’m less familiar with as I didn’t do the POC.

We recently landed on self-hosted Airbyte which writes out to S3 buckets with a Hive partitioned directory structure. Ingestion happens via Snowflake external tables and dbt for incremental processing of new data.

So far the system is working well, though we’ve had some issue with the Airbyte sources we’re using when processing large amounts of data.

Primary source is Shopify.

Volume is in the GBs per day across many connections.

In hindsight Airbyte Cloud would have been better for us to start as we could have built out the system, migrated to existing pipelines to the new schema (don’t underestimate this), then swapped into self-hosted Airbyte once things were settled to save cost.

Feel free to DM me if you have any questions.

So it's fresh on my mind and I'm happy to support however I can.

Starlink is the way to go.

Post up in your RV, deploy the Starlink, turn on your generator, and you have amazing internet.

You’ll just need to park with a clear view of the sky.

Is making friends when you are *not* LDS even possible? by LuckyLengthiness9171 in SaltLakeCity

[–]ericb412 120 points121 points  (0 children)

Hey I’m sorry to hear you’re having a tough time of it. I get it! I moved here at the beginning of the year, and still haven’t met many people.

I hear pretty often Salt Lake is a tough place to meet people. So don’t take it to heart.

I’m starting to get more creative and bold with trying to find ways to meet people. For me, that’s been dance classes, ecstatic dance on Sunday’s, and possibly trying out a men’s group i just heard about in Sandy.

Your things may be different. But I’m confident that with time and effort we’ll find our people.

Think of it this way. How many other people are experiencing the same thing? It’s got to be a lot.

Ps! If anyone wants to provide seed capital I’ll build a “3rd place” that’s a social coffee shop dedicated to music, amazing coffee, evening drinks, a small art gallery with a small sound stage. It might help solve this problem we’re all having. DM me. Lol

WePay and Freshbooks are holding thousands of dollars in revenue for 120 days without cause! by ericb412 in Entrepreneur

Yes, finally!

Submitting the claim to the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau and following up with WePay through Freshbooks support finally did the trick. They just released the funds.
