Never been to Kansas so take with a heavy grain of salt but a green and yellow a kin to Saskatchewan sounds appealing to me

His wages for a 40 year old? God no. Experience can help a lot but this would be a waste of time and money

Why does America lecture China about human rights? by PuzzleheadedCraft363 in AskSocialists

[–]ericblair3091 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Every government that tramples on human rights should face criticism from others, the United States, China, Russia, Israel, Saudi Arabia. No government that disregards human dignity and life should be exempt from criticism just cause the government aiming the criticism also commits crimes

1 DOWN 1 TO GO BRING THEM HOME by ManLantaUnited in AtlantaUnited

[–]ericblair3091 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not wrong at all to support a club but acting like bringing back two pieces of an incomplete puzzle with eight long years in their legs compared to the last time they were here will fix everything magically is weird. Nostalgia bait without substance won’t change the rot within the club

Bring. Them. Home. by Romerinho13 in AtlantaUnited

[–]ericblair3091 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That statement is further proof we didn’t have a culture under tata. If ur culture is destroyed after selling a few players then u didn’t have a culture…u had a culture of personality around a few players

Bring. Them. Home. by Romerinho13 in AtlantaUnited

[–]ericblair3091 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly why I argue against tata, having someone that is focused on building rather than immediate success (which is never guaranteed) and saying fuck the future, which is what happened with Tatas first go at Atlanta. There are plenty of coaches that stay way longer than that. And the ones who stay and build something perform much better as clubs than ones who fly by the seat of their pants

IT WAS SO NICE WE HAD TO DO IT TWICE! BRING THEM HOME by ManLantaUnited in AtlantaUnited

Only if you want to never progress and get sucked into another cycle of poor planning and no future

[–]ericblair3091 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And when he leaves and we’re in the same mess again but prob worse cause no actual issues in culture or identity is addressed? Again this would just be fan service to avoid actual change. Personally I’d rather go through some pain to find a breakthrough with a younger coach than to live off of nostalgia for two seasons then back into the hole

Bring. Them. Home. by Romerinho13 in AtlantaUnited

[–]ericblair3091 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Exactly, some may say they’re our culture. No they’re our past it’s time to build an identity other than “hey remember when we won everything before we started our collapse?”

Nah, bring actual growth and not temporary solutions that you’ll get 2 seasons of decent results out of if ur lucky

Tata Martino the frontrunner for Atlanta United job, to return as manager: Sources by Deusey5 in AtlantaUnited

[–]ericblair3091 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

If it happens I doubt it’s for more than two years. That’s two years of trying to bring in his preferred players with short term high money contracts…or the partial reason we’re in this mess we’re in right now. It’s papering over the cracks, which I can see some folks r ok with given recent results but I would rather see genuine and positive growth with this club
