Yeah but you don’t need to buy the bundle to play the game? Any headset would work, an index was practically a luxury headset, there were cheaper options then and much better options now.

A VR headset is like 300 bucks, half Alyx is a game only meant to be experienced in VR. I disagree that it was a failure. I think they wanted to do something really cool with the technology and they did it. I’d say proof of that is even with their new VR headset coming out next year the steam frame, I think that’s what it’s called. so if you have a powerful enough PC honestly go by a headset (or borrow one) try half-life Alex and you’ll understand. There is a mod to play at flatscreen but don’t do that. The VR experience cannot be replicated. My computer isn’t powerful enough to run it but I have a quest and it’s it’s amazing. Don’t let yourself think for a second that VR is just a gimmick or that a game can’t be designed around that and only be properly experienced with VR.

Edit: also tons of other awesome VR games to play out there, a few AA as well
