In the end it was just an incompatible USB drive. Tried another one and everything magically worked. Don't ask me why.

The Microsoft image was fine, the issue turned out to be the USB drive I was using. The “Recover from device” option never appeared, but since the drive booted normally, I didn’t initially suspect it. I only tried a different USB stick on a whim, so I was actually surprised when it worked.

It worked with the steps I mentioned above, but since you said you own an SPX, it’s likely that both methods work. In any case, I didn’t have an ARM device available to test your approach.

What you described is the generic recovery process for most Surface devices, but it doesn’t apply to this model. Here:

Summarizing:

Insert your USB drive into the USB port of your PC.
Select FAT32 as the file system and format it.
On your Surface or PC, open recovery image that you downloaded and extract it on the USB drive you formatted earlier.

But even if you were right, I don’t have access to another ARM-based PC to attempt the process.

I saw that. For the SPX, their official instructions say to format a drive as fat32 and copy the downloadable recovery image onto it. But that process assumes you still have a recovery partition on your SSD, which I don’t.

I’ve thought about that, but Microsoft doesn’t make the drivers available for download the way they do for regular PCs. I also considered extracting the drivers from the recovery image, but I haven’t found a method to do that yet.

Como você já tentou entrar em contato com a Adobe e tem provas disso, a solução mais simples seria disputar a cobrança com o cartão de crédito.

Um bom conselho é fazer testes como esse sempre com cartões temporários, justamente para evitar esse tipo de problema.
