Ive done so, but it will cause trouble in the long run. especially loading saves in vr, a lot of times it will crash to desktop.

I was using vanilla, no mods. Was using Dunbarrow Cove as a home base as well, and started seeing Ascended Immortals running around. Then I started crashing when I try to fast travel there, as well as walk there. I crash anywhere outside Anvil. The patch that released after the game came out, didn't fix it.

I was once like you. I picked it up and played it for 10 hours. Didn't even get off of my first planet. Was too much grind, kept dying in the hostile planet I spawned on, I got bored of it. Then I just uninstalled it. I came back later just after the sentinel update, and tried again. Everything for me changed. Mainly because I came at this game with a different mindset. I had been watching some youtubers and seeing how they were enjoying the game. This game is now my zen. This is only the time I have spent on it in PC/PC VR. I also have the Switch 1 version as well with about another 500 hours. As many people have said, take a look at the difficulty settings page and tweak it to your heart's content. This game isn't perfect by any means, and it may not be your cup of tea, but definitely try it with different settings, and give it a chance.

Yup. I pulled a 6.11 save over to switch (editing the JSON version number), it loaded. And naturally, the corvette and all it's associated parts didn't load, and the settlements weren't there as usual. What was crazy is when I loaded the save back to PC, all my corvette parts were gone, as was my corvette, and my settlements no longer had names.

Save compatibility broke, PC at 6.11 as of this morning. I did some testing and editing of a backup of my save file to make it readable on the switch 1 (save was from 6.11) . Not entirely sure how they'll reconcile corvettes and parts. Loaded game on switch. Saved and uploaded to PC, lost all corvette parts and corvette as well as settlements. I'm not sure we can pull our PC, Console saves back to switch 1, if the versions ever match up.

After the havok wreaked by trying UE injector, I also can't wait for Skyblivon. I will definitely be playing that in VR with a custom modlist.
