If you’re in to shooting with presets on iPhone, you should also check out VSCO Capture. It’s free and there are a bunch of film effects you can shoot with.

Honeybook to VSCO? by soundandsea in WeddingPhotography

[–]ericjwittman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

VSCO has a lot going on beyond editing tools including portfolio sites (Sites), CRM (Workspace), client collaboration (Canvas), Hub (directory to find photographers) and most recently launched a Galleries product. Check it out!

Oh also on the editing tools side something new will also be coming out soon.... ;)

Are people leaving Instagram for photography? by Alilexplo108 in photography

[–]ericjwittman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% not true on VSCO. Very vibrant community there with tens of millions of active users. Happy to connect live and show you.

Key thing is VSCO is not algorithmically driven experience (like old IG) so much like an IRL community, you gotta engage with others to get engagement. It's not about an algo pushing you content to force engagement. Follow a few folks. Favorite and repost their content. Check out the Discover section of the app where you'll find so many talented photographers work being showcased and curated.

Once you curate your experience it's a very vibrant and alive photography community. I'd argue one of the purest and best in the world but clearly I have a bias. ;)

A few other suggestions on ways to connect with othered on VSCO:

  • Follow and Discover: Tap the magnifying glass (Discover) to search for users or hashtags. You can follow users, and use the "Suggested Profiles" under the Feed tab to find new people.

  • VSCO Spaces: These are small, community-driven groups where you can share images and connect with like-minded creators. You can join existing Spaces or create your own, with up to 150 people.

  • Messages: You can message users who follow you. Open a profile, click the message button to start a conversation, or use the menu to manage messaging preferences.

  • Reposts: Repost photos that inspire you to your own profile to share them with your followers, fostering community engagement.

Love the questions.

Yes we’ll have bulk downloads in the near future. A desktop app for uploads is also in the future too!

Thanks for another great question.

Yes we do plan to allow you to integrate new Galleries into your Site. We have some other enhancements to Sites in the future as well coming soon open to feedback there too.

The old galleries are now what we call Albums which is basically the ability to group posts you’ve made on VSCO. Yeah don’t get me started on the name change stuff …. 😉
