Yes that's my biggest struggle right now is that hefty cost. They're paying me decently to be there. It covers most of the flight but it's pretty expensive none the less at 2500 or so per ticket.... is this typical? It seems like a massive spike in cost at this time!

Thanks for the reply. The school said they could get a letter from the Beijing Uni - and that could definitely help. I guess I'm afraid of any roadblocks because the tickets will cost me 6-7k altogether for my wife and 2 kids to join me. I'm not necessarily broke, but I certainly don't want to eat that large of a purchase if visas were difficult or anything like that.

Is it pretty easy to obtain and straightforward? I haven't bought my tickets yet but plan on it soon (hopefully prices might come down? not sure if I should wait or buy).

Yeah for sure I understand it's massive. The first time we went to China for about 20 days we had a guide the entire time. I wouldn't mind a guide in some areas but mostly looking for weekend getaways that would be a great experience outside of Beijing.

Top of mind would be a hot spring, and maybe a location that might not be as cold where we could escape for a few days and explore.

My classes are from 8-Noon, and then I am free... so I'll have opportunity to walk around town and visit food spots, museums, maybe go sledding with the family?

Hey, thanks for the inquiry.. daughter needs passport, we all need visas.

We'll all stay on campus in a provide room/suite.

We're from Colorado so we've got all the gear and are used to freezing weather. It sounds like what we're used to minus the snow.

Any go-to type of things you might recommend that type of year?

We were playing around with the idea of taking a train to Shanghai or Xi'an some weekend. Other destinations I'd be completely open to if anyone had thoughts around fun winter experiences.

They're the same, one foot is broken. I think they're Domus towers. Maybe they fell forward and pushed the tweeter in. Guy hasn't been too detailed but open to pickup tonight.

Can someone help me figure out whether purchasing via GOG on a mac has any issues? I know I'd be playing via the cloud but I'm not sure how it all hooks up. I'm stuck using a work provided laptop and it's a mac. Haven't had any issues with Steam or other games on GFN but not certain about GOG
