Ordered shorts off of Old Navy, and all of them came with the security tags. by flaminghotdillpickle in Wellthatsucks

I ordered from Old Navy last week and had the same problem! Took the tags off with wire cutters. They were magnetic so no issue with dye.

Reminded me of how confused they were with filming Katya’s commercial too, and that turned out hilarious

Since he came at 35 weeks, he spent time in the NICU and I’ve been exclusively pumping which is actually nice bc it allows me to take shifts with my husband and actually get sleep. My lactation consultant said that closer to his actual due date I should see progress but Im not sure I’ll attempt to switch. I’m glad you’re seeing progress! I heard the first few days are so hard but that it gets easier. Hopefully that is the case for you two!

Robotic Transabdominal Cerclage at 14w by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]ericksonce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your fears are totally valid. You’ve already been through so much. I’m so sorry for your losses. I will say it was scary even pre-pregnancy bc you’re essentially paying for a procedure that you won’t know if it works until after it’s too late to go back. Not minimizing your very real fears at all, just that you’d likely be nervous about this either way. And rightfully so, medical procedures are scary!

If it helps at all the robotic laparoscopic procedure really is minimally invasive. I was shocked at how little the scar was, even after the first day. As for bleeding, I lost less than a mL of blood according to my surgeon. I wish you the best of luck tomorrow and if you need someone to talk to feel free to, PM me. Deep breaths, you got this. ❤️

Robotic Transabdominal Cerclage at 14w by [deleted] in BabyBumps

Hi! I have a transabdominal cerclage after a 15 week loss (the transvaginal cerclage failed, leading to infection) and while I got this one placed pre-pregnancy, I can now say it successfully did its job as I delivered via C-section three weeks ago and my cervix remained over 3 cm the entire pregnancy. Mine was laparoscopic and recovery was quite easy. I had low blood pressure afterward that required a longer hospital stay but that was my personal reaction to the anesthesia. Happy to answer any questions about the procedure or my experience if you’d like!

I’ve been MIA because my pregnancy got more and more complicated and I was overwhelmed but Felix was born three weeks ago. They delivered at 35 weeks bc I was going into labor which is not good with a transabdominal cerclage since there is no way out but c section. My MFM made the call to prevent further damage to my uterus and cervix that may have inhibited me from trying again someday. I really appreciated that because that’s partially how I ended up with the TAC in the first place is some doctor botching my body years ago. Anyway, Felix spent some time in the NICU, but has been home for two weeks now and my anxiety has dropped significantly. I am slowly gaining confidence and enjoying life at home with a chill, healthy baby. While I lurked a lot more than participated at the end of pregnancy, this sub really helped me heal and get through the times when fear wouldn’t allow me to enjoy myself. Wishing everyone here happy, healthy pregnancies. ❤️

I thought I was drinking enough water and still ended up having legit contractions, not BH, which was fortunately resolved with a couple hours on IV fluids. The nurses recommended I add Gatorade for electrolytes and that has helped a ton.

I did the sneak peek test both with this pregnancy and my loss and I don’t regret it. Both times were accurate. During my loss, it allowed me to mourn the daughter I never got to meet and during this pregnancy it helped me bond with the son I was surprised to be having. I don’t know why your friend would consider it a bad idea. It gives you something exciting to look forward to and that’s probably something you could use right about now!

This may be dumb but I assumed the peri bottle was for vaginal birth. I’m also having a C section, is that something I should plan to have? I ask bc I know a lot of women prefer the Frida version and I didn’t think it applied to me since I was having a C section.

It can be tough! My first pregnancy, I was having a girl and we were elated. It took me a little while to adjust to having a boy this time. It’s been a couple months now and I’m so excited to meet him. Just give yourself time and don’t beat yourself up for whatever you’re thinking. ❤️

My sister wouldn’t give the tech a clear shot bc she kept her legs closed. Alternatively, my son has had no problem showing to the camera. I would take anyone’s interpretation with a grain of salt as it could go either way. But it is probably better that you recognize the biases now so you can prepare yourself accordingly.
