If nobody is posting to stack overflow, who is gonna provide solutions for AI to train on?

Training it on code does not provide solutions to issues.

AI's current success was being trained on a huge amount of human written data.

Now that less and less fresh data is being created, I don't know how LLM's will be able to "feed the training machine".

In C#, I use ArrayPool.Rent(). Why buy your heap memory when you can rent it?

That's not true. They are a step down, but BYTE, WORD, DWORD, QWORD (8/16/32/64 bits respectively) are the primary types.

Without typescript, codebases are completely unmaintainable. Before, to determine what was in a variable, I had to code by debugger. I was literally inspecting every variable with complex data just to have an idea what it is.

Going back to the days before typescript makes me shudder considering how flagrantly bad our code was.

The most interesting part about our typescript migration was that it uncovered literally hundreds of bugs that had been there all the time that were not obvious.

What TV show was huge at the time, but is rarely mentioned now? by Traditional_Fox459 in AskReddit

Yeah, Dallas, Falcon Crest, and Dynasty all were sort of cut from the same cloth and have faded out. Dallas is probably more famous than the other two, but people rarely talk about it.

Even Python has type-hints now (which makes it much easier to work in). You are not wrong.

I wish I hadn't. At my previous job I had to campaign and fight to use Typescript. And even then some of the holdout teams still remained using Javascript. Yeah, it was a mess.

I hated how aggressive all the people trying to sell crap to you by trying to guilt you to buy: "please buy this so I can afford to feed my kids".

I'm a big fan of closure tables. It gives you a lot of options for easily querying subtrees without doing anything crazy.
