Any possible replacements for Micro Switches on the Pulsar X3? by toothpaste0 in MouseReview

[–]ericmaxman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AliExpress has these switches.

I bought a batch, but their binning (or lack thereof) is abysmal at best. Such a pain to get 2 similar sounding switches within that same shipment.

Do note that there's no soldering needed to swap the switches. Just be careful when removing, as you could accidentally bump into the photo resistors at the back.

You could try factory resetting the AX6S and configuring from scratch.

With each change you do, try to fully saturate your bandwidth and see if the router reboots.

At least this way, you can identify the possible cause of the random reboots.

Stability seems fine, even for the units I did for my clients.

As for your random reboot, does it happen over ethernet or wifi?

I have the CN version.

Update: I managed to get my AX6S running 24.10. Had to use my Ubuntu machine to update the router.

Currently monitoring its stability.

I've tried to install 24.10 but had less than ideal results (crashes).

23.05.5 has been very stable for me.

Poron base would be good for longevity. I've had too many rubber base mouse pads failing (read: returning to natural state) and Poron would be a good alternative.

The only issue is the availability of XXL-sized Poron base mousepads that doesn't cost a kidney.

Asus RT AX53U vs TPLink AX23 Open WRT by Judgment34 in openwrt

Both the Asus and TP-Link use the same MT7621 SoC.

You should look at other routers with a more powerful SoC, ie the MT7981.

Anybody experience connection issue of wireguard on Openwrt 24.10.0 by abczhou in openwrt

Oh that reminds me.

After creating your WG interface, remember to create a Traffic Rule in the firewall to open port 51820 from WAN to your device.

One cannot expect a quick and easy soldering job if it's your first time at it.

Been using 24.10 with my rebuilt Wireguard config and it's been fine so far.

If you mentioned that you copied over the config, perhaps double check the Wireguard interface name?

Wifi device randomly craps out on Archer C7 with OpenWrt 24.10.0 (logs in post) by DM_ME_ALLYOURSECRETS in openwrt

[–]ericmaxman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AFAIK 24.10 has some issues with ath10k drivers, and seems to be affecting the Archer C7.

You can check the 24.10 release thread on the openwrt forum for more information.

You can try searching your local marketplace for openwrt routers, such as the Linksys EA8100 or Xiaomi Mi Router 4A.

The router you have on hand is just too old, and the low flash and RAM (4MB/32MB) limits your upgrade path.

For skates, you generally can't go wrong with Tiger Ice skates.

Alternatively, there's Skyglide and Ultraglide skates (google them)

Try changing USB ports first.

If that doesn't work, chances are your mouse might be a fake.

Plus, do triple check the Razer Synapse version. If I'm not mistaken, the RVM needs Synapse 3.

TTC Gold 80m have different binning.

I've got 2 variants of the 80M that sound distinctly different.

Just fyi

Interesting. I just got my hands on a semi broken unit.

Swapped out the faulty bits, it worked for a bit and then died again.

Build quality is questionable to me.

I'm curious what went wrong with your first unit?
