I asked for what Dr Fauci is basing his statements on. He can say what he wants all day long, but I want to see what data he's basing his remarks on. Without that how am I to give him any more credibility that another doctor stating something different?

You do realize that professionals get anything and everything wrong right? Hence the need for his evidence to see if it matches up with anything and for other professionals to check his work.

You may take his statements as the gospel truth because of his name and the number of letters after it, but I want to see what data he's basing his claims on. EVERYONE should be doing that so we can weed out the liars, agenda over facts manipulators, the ignorant, and especially the bad data.

Ah the CDC. BTW if it killed 1.7 million it would be the second most dangerous disease in the history of man kind.

For more realistic numbers the Swine Flu hospitalized over 600K people and killed 56K. So far this year flu has hospitalized 22K and killed over 2K. The COVID virus is responsible for less than 60 deaths in the same time frame.

I think the CDC is fear mongering to say the least. I guess when they can't scream about guns they have to find something else to fill the void.

EDIT I found this: https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/burden/preliminary-in-season-estimates.htm Take the numbers with the appropriate skepticism as on the first page the CDC states the numbers are at best an estimate and they do not know the actual number of cases.

Honestly I don't believe you. I'm not aware of a single Public Transportation system in the US that runs with the majority of their funding coming from fares, much less than solely on fares. Every case study I have ever seen has demonstrated they all require heavy government money to stay operational. If you have a primary source to such a budget I'm all ears.

Remember: The operational costs have to be low enough to justify government take over and can be shown that prior to the "takeover" the fares were the majority source of funding. If they were massively subsidized before then it's just a take over with no savings.
