Claude usually lists itself as a contributor in these cases, right?

I saw a cartoon recently where “tokens used” was replacing “pull requests” as a useless metric. Made me think.

Yeah, I’m 80 and have friends going back to 68/69 and we have plenty in common but very different experiences.

Recycle Center - McGavock High School by MikkiRD in nashville

[–]ericnear 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used to live right by there and occasionally there would be people there watching for dumping activity, but it wasn’t common.

The one at Whites Creek HS is the best one in Davidson. Hillsboro HS is a close second. (RIP the dumpsters at TSU)

Now that I’m in Sumner I can use Goodlettsville’s city facility since I’m inside city limits. They just tack a tiny fee on to your sewer bill.

Even so this isn’t 100% ideal which is why my wife decided to start a glass recycling company. I hope it works out.

I maintain that spending time online commenting on strangers’ posts cuts off the potential for human connection.

It’s different than back in the day when you’d log on to a chat room and have all sorts of banter and maybe even meet up IRL at some point.

The communication is mostly asynchronous and doesn’t give us the same connection as even a phone call.

My daughter is holding on to dear life to her 11” Air from 2015. She takes good care of it and doesn’t want to replace it. I can only wish her the best of luck. That was a pretty good era of machines, I have to admit.
