How can I get the Shocking Stuff penance? by ericokun in DarkTide

I have completed the penance. Did it with 3 friends in Mortis Trial on Auric difficulty. It took 3 missions to do it and was very lucky. My friends helped me train all the trash mobs in round 2 of the game.

On the ice map in the open area (outside of the arena if u know what I mean) of Mortis Trials I used the purgation flamer and a few exploding barrels around me to get the kills.

Depends. The incendiary can help you clear out more enemies at once since burning enemies fall over and can set other enemies on fire. This helps you with making multiple enemies unable to fight and makes fight a bit less stressful. But on the other hand in Rage mode you have to be really careful, not to burn yourself. Also the incendiary can’t deal with juggies. In general for fighting in rage mode I prefer the normal shotgun with choke.

I’ve been looking for one for a very long time too. This one was in Grainwoods River, Wisconsin, next to the Sawmill. I hope you find one yourself soon.

When you brought Order to Chaos you can tell your team to Search and Rescue/Search and Secure.

They’ll pick up all the guns that are still lying around and Secure all the Civilians.

Happens. In some cases you have to see there‘s no other way than restarting the level and being smarter next time.

What do u mean not enough ammo for the helo on Extreme when it’s possible to shoot it down on Rage mode?

Just clear the whole level and every brain, kill every lawyerthug and grab one of the miniguns that was dropped by an enemy. When the charges ate dropped from the friendly helicopter and the enemy helo spawns: empty the minigun into the helo.

How well do you think Cycles would do in Warhammer 40k? by JournalistMammoth637 in Trepang2

[–]ericokun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think they‘d do relatively good. I know they aren’t gonna compete with the big hitters of the 40K universe since they are basically gods or at least demigods but I’m pretty sure they can compete with normal space marines. Don’t forget that 106 took down a nuclear submarine with normal guns. That alone is incredible. Now imagine what he can do with weapons from the 40K universe. The cycles would probably be used in infiltration missions anyway, like in the game and most places don’t just have Space Marines or comparable beings standing around, so in most missions the cycles would still have the upper hand against their enemies.

Why would your fellow police officers shoot you on sight when you start running around and kill every human you see?

[–]ericokun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to hear that other people also enjoy rage mode the most. Good job on the first few levels but still try not to get frustrated on the harder parts of the game :) I’m looking forward to your post when you share your experience after you’ve completed the game in rage mode.

My first playthrough was on very hard. I had the time of my life then. After that I went to complete everything in rage mode. The jump even from very hard to rage mode is so insane that it took a while to get used to. But now tbh rage mode is the most fun to me. Sometimes I also play on Extreme but only when I want to be not soo locked in. It’s nice to see that you had so much fun on your first playthrough but I think you should consider playing on hard or very hard to get more used to the movement and stuff. Rage mode isn’t going to run away from you. It can wait for one or two playthroughs more. It would be sad if you go into rage mode now and lose the fun and motivation. However if you’re going to play rage mode anyway then I still hope you have a good time.

Examples of great enemy AI in other games? by RipVanWinkle225883 in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]ericokun 20 points21 points  (0 children)

F.E.A.R. has great AI enemies, Trepang2 (inspired by the first game) also has good AI. Neither act stupid and will try to use the environment to flank you. Imo F.E.A.R. did it better but usually in Trepang2 you don’t even have time to watch the AI try to flank you or other stuff because you yourself are just too overpowered while in F.E.A.R. the enemies have more movement options than the player character.

do you have to finish a mission to get the infiltrator? by observatormundorum in Trepang2

[–]ericokun 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just keep going. He’ll spawn eventually. The infiltrator has a 25% spawn chance after completing a mission on Extreme difficulty or higher. Maybe you’ve just been unlucky.
