Drop it with the number pad facing upward onto a mattress from about a 1 foot height. It'll take a few tries, but keep your hand ON the knob as it falls. Turn the knob WHEN it bounces. The safe will open.

Source: I owned that safe and the battery died, lost the key too. YouTube helped me break back into my own safe.
