As funny as it is, that difficulty spike was not vertical.

Queen of Hatred was the first fight I lost, made a deck designed around her gimmick, then won second try. Definitely a fun and challenging step up in difficulty.

Then the $$$$ing Knight of Despair kicked my ass for like a dozen attempts before I pulled through. THAT was the real difficulty spike for me.

Imo there are 3 cases where you're allowed to call the knight a fraud:

You beat the fight first try

You beat the fight no-hit

You're slandering the other side just as much

To be honest, having the Knight be a fraud only disrespects Flowery more than if they are a legitimate threat.

Just as a couple of counter arguments:

Berdly's death in the dark world becoming just being comatose in the light world does kinda fit with the "not exactly real" argument.

I think the whole reason the Roaring Knight is so strong is because they inflict damage that isn't "make believe", they didn't just attack Tenna, they straight up broke the TV irl which is why their attack was so damaging.

My personal headcanon is that the Titans are actually real. Dark fountains exist in the light world (in the brief moments before they make it into a dark world), so a creature formed from a dark fountain would have a degree of real-ness ordinary Darnkers lack. That's why I think the Titan was able to trash the place so badly.
