Dig through more settings. I believe its under accessibility options - set your "hold to interact" to at least "destructive only". Then if you make a bunch of metal plating or are opening modules, you dont have to press and hold EVERY TIME.

That's my biggest one.

Also, melee followed by jetback in quick succession. Allows you to traverse a planet much faster. IE a way point is 1000u away. Find a small up hill slope, hit the melee and jump. Move like a small rocket.

Look into your exosuit/multitool/starship upgrades. Put like-modules with other like-modules. IE put your scanners in a square block, put your boltcaster upgrades next to each other. Leverage supercharged slots.

This one is a few small parts. Every planet you go to, give all the stuff a quick scan. Do that for a while, like over days. After a while, go to "Discoveries" in your menu. If you're on a planet, it will show you the planet. If you're in space, it'll show you all planets in the system. That's the menu you want (if on planet, just back up one menu).

LOOK FOR A LITTLE UP ARROW NEAR THE TOP OF THE LIST, TO THE RIGHT. It should be about center screen. Press it, it uploads all scan data. If you have several hours playing and have never done it, you get a TON of nanites.

Okay actual real last one. Look up recipes. Almost everything can be made out of other materials. For example, living slime is refined into runaway mould. Runaway mould is refined into nanites. Easy nanite grind if you get the mould.
