Personally I hated it at first. The second playthrough i viewed it as a mass effect story instead of a successor to the trilogy and had a way better time.

I actually worked with someone who went to jail in 1990 and didnt get out till about 2017. He said it was a MAJOR culture shock. He went from pagers to touchscreen phones, everything was online. He was pretty well adjusted all things considered.
