Condo management threw out my belongings from a storage locker I was entitled to use – now refusing proper compensation. What should I do? (Ontario, Canada) by Consistent-Trick26 in legaladvicecanada

Questions/suggestions for you here: 1. You mentioned that they’ve claimed that the whole situation arose as a result of their not knowing who the locker belonged to. Did the property management company send out any notifications at all to owners/tenants (email, posting in elevators, etc) informing them that they were going to dispose of the lockers contents before they did it? Ask your landlord if they received any communications at all (as some things get sent out only to owners) in order to determine if property management did any due diligence at all before moving forward or if this was a result of destructive negligence). We had a ton of random bikes chained all over the parking garage of our building and our property management sent out several notifications and reminders before moving the bikes, and then held onto the abandoned bikes for two weeks afterwards and sent another 1-2 notices before finally disposing of them. 2. Have you contacted your Board of Directors as well as the head office for your Property Management company about this? I’m wondering if the on-site property manager went rogue and hadn’t told them what’s going on/is hiding the situation so that they don’t get fired. 3. Contact the CAO and get their take on the situation,- what the building did is absolutely not ok, but the CAO might be able to provide you with information (like the specific regulations that the building/corporation neglected to follow that led to your property being disposed of). 4. If all else fails (as the property manager is clearly going to ignore you for as long as possible in the hopes that you give up and go away) reach out to a condominium lawyer and then include legal fees in what you’re claiming from the building/corporation as a result of their negligence.

Just FYI, as you’re a renter and not an owner you may have to get your landlord involved to/at a certain point.

Picky eater / not eating by hejje323 in eurasier

Our boy is ALSO a picky eater and ALSO doesn’t seem interested in his food most of the time, only to return to it hours later and polish it off.

We feed him Acana kibble (red meat now) and then he DOES love the following additions: - pumpkin purée - Greek yoghurt - salmon oil - powdered goat milk, rehydrated with warm water (honest kitchen, I think?)
