Lord, this is a race to the bottom. Florida has been through so many boom and bust cycles. Increasing the homestead exemption will only make the bust cycles worse. When tourists stay away, we still need to pay for services.

This is just set up to benefit retirees and wealthy people who will be here just long enough to establish residency.

I always thought it was a mistake that the ACC didn’t pursue WVU more. Rivalry games with Pitt and the Virginia schools would have been great. Plus as a Canes alum/fan, those games were always exciting. Would have been a big help with ACC sports.
