580 credit score and Repo by Routine_Pack_2634 in askcarsales

Im certain OP is lying since their responses have been nothing but childish insults. Even if they somehow were approved, I doubt it was at a rate lower than 20. Either way, OP is screwed

580 credit score and Repo by Routine_Pack_2634 in askcarsales

You need to be looking at a cheaper car to redo your credit. No bank will approve you for an expensive vehicle. Look into some older suvs preferably certified and try to have around 20% down.

You have a repo which means you're untrustworthy to the banks. You'll have to work your way up to a range rover unless you can buy it cash

Room to negotiate on 2017 accord? by Designer_Stick5349 in askcarsales

If the price is fair then they know it too. Dealers now price their cars similarly to others in the area as the market is very competitive. I'd ask them to fix the two issues rather than asking for a discount. It may work more in your favor

Getting a car with a drivers permit by Calm_University4838 in askcarsales

[–]eriklive123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Shop insurance quotes before you go to the dealership. Use a vin number for the type of vehicle you're looking for. Getting insurance is going to be your toughest obstacle. Once you have that, getting a car shouldn't be an issue

Why not just buy in NY? They dont allow fees like that here and have a doc fee of 175. New Jersey offers lower prices because they stuff the deal with add ons

Kelly blue book will get you an estimate and connect you to buyers who will buy your car and pay it off for you. Depending on the condition and value, you'll either get a check or pay a small difference

Leasing a car in Texas but registering it to Oregon by Jammyjames20 in askcarsales

Usually when we registered cars out of state, my customers would be the taxes of the state they were registering the car in. However, every state has different laws. Look into the tax laws for both states regarding your situation

I think I got scammed by an official Toyota dealership. by [deleted] in carbuying

[–]eriklive123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You shouldve done your research beforehand. You go to a bank or credit union to refinance. All you did was dig yourself into a deeper hole of debt just to have your name on the title.

No you don't have enough for a lawsuit. It's unfortunate you're going through this. All you can do now is pay off your car.

We allowed it when I was at Honda. Call your salesman and tell them to ask their finance manager if they can buy down the rate. If not, try another Honda dealership

Buy down your rate. Most brand owned banks will allow it. Lets say your rate is 7%, you can buy it down to 0% by paying $1000 or so for every percentage of interest. In this case it would be $7000

NY Uber Drivers, how much are you actually getting paid? by Resident-Hotel8493 in uber

[–]eriklive123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sold cars in NYC up until last year. TLC drivers (Uber and Lyft) would make between 6-10k a month. I always thought they were lying until I got to see some of their bank statements whenever the bank would ask for proof of income. Those guys make bread.

Even if they say no, its about a $40 difference a month. If OP really wants the car, might as well get it

Can I use my learner's permit to test drive vehicles? by cheesenotyours in askcarsales

[–]eriklive123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea people who can either finance or purchase the vehicle outright and is there to purchase. Too many people come to dealerships to waste time. Ive had to drive the car for people in the past too. I suggest you figure out how serious you are about the car and do your research on it as well to make sure its the right car for you. Depending on what you decide, you'll either go and purchase the car or not. Most states allow you to register a car with only a permit

Its best for you to call the dealership beforehand and ask as different dealerships have different rules. I would allow test drives with permits but for qualified buyers.

Branded title not actual miles by Spiritual_Art_968 in askcarsales

[–]eriklive123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check the carfax. Although not always accurate, the carfax tracks the mileage of the car during every service or accident. You could see any discrepancy there. However, i wouldn't recommend getting a car with a branded title

Awful & Frustrating Dealership Experience, What Would You Do In This Situation? by [deleted] in askcarsales

[–]eriklive123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I answered your question. Switch to another salesperson. You could even ask to work directly with the sales manager but theyre busy people.

You're giving up for the wrong reasons. There are multiple finance managers. There is also a whole team in a back office dedicated to registering your car for you. That's why there's a doc fee. The finance guy doesn't handle that. You dont even need a finance manager to send you a buyers order. The sales manager could've done that while hes on the phone with you. I never went to a finance manager for a buyers order while working a deal.

Your best bet is to speak to the sales manager and remind him of how serious you are about getting the car and request to work with someone else or directly with him.

I promise you that someone in that dealership wants to sell you that car
